Digital Aura 01-22-2007, 07:39 PM What's up with the RTL and RTX models in the USA?
What is the equivalent to an EXL S/R? I think I have my profile wrong... :o
Is it true all the Ridgelines are made in Alliston here? Are any of the US models different?
I notice we have the good Michelin LTX tires and some models I've seen have P245's or something.
Andy-Montreal 01-22-2007, 08:16 PM We have the same models as the U.S. does but tagged a bit differently.
There are however some minor differences that I've picked up on:
1) 2006 Nighthawk Black U.S.Model N/A with grey interior (Canada only)
2) 2006 White available as a U.S.Model only (None for Canada)
3) 2006 models XM radio N/A in Canada (U.S. only)
4) Metric instrument cluster & Nav/Temp on Canadian models
Lingered_I 01-22-2007, 08:34 PM Don't forget the DRLs!
Danke 01-22-2007, 09:30 PM Are you sure no white for Canada? At least 2 in Vancouver. They were in the hands of one of the larger dealers (car and motorcycle). Not a loss the white is a but much.
CBRidgeJockey 01-22-2007, 10:35 PM yes the white was available for 06 in Canada. They were factory ordered under " utility truck " for some reason. :o
mugen1 01-22-2007, 11:18 PM the colour names on some were different between the two versions too.
Amazon Green and Ammonite Green
Arctic White

What do they get in the form of tires?
Nailing Malarkey 01-23-2007, 04:38 PM Why do the waste the effort to rename everything?
mugen1 01-24-2007, 12:48 AM So they can continue to charge Canadians more and say they aren't the same models?
We have bilingual decals!
Are US warning decals only in English or do they have Spanish or some other language. Do the US models have MPH and KPH on the speedometer like the Canadian models?
I'm a little miffed that the coin holder does not allow for loonies and twoonies - then and only then can the RL be called a true Canadian vehicle.

My '06 sales brochure shows every other color but white. When I informed the salesman about this, he told me that white was only available in the U.S. Could this omission be unique to Quebec?

That and the fact that the cupholders are too small to hold a pint of Molson Export! (Assuming that you would actually drink beer while in your truck.....);)

At least two white Ridgelines in Winnipeg.....I am presuming they reside there.....( could have been visiting from Vancouver but I doubt it ).....lol

2006 White Ridgelines sold in Canada = Not available
2007 White Ridgelines sold in Canada = YES

Ya I seen two white ridgelines at the dealer when I was in for service, and this way before the 2007. My sales rep said they were order for customers who wanted to use them as company trucks. Also the white wasn't the same as the us model it was much more bland.
mugen1 01-24-2007, 09:29 PM I've seen white Ridgelines around here before 07's were out, too. We have a lot of drivers here from Washington, so that could be it.
kootenayridge 01-24-2007, 10:12 PM The '06 in white was definitely available in Canada. My dealer in Castlegar BC had a couple.
Q1000 01-25-2007, 06:43 PM You could get white on special order, but it wasn't really a official option till the 07.
I worked at the plant in Alliston when I was in school for a summer job. There are a bunch of little minor differences based on where the truck goes. Different fuse panels and such probably stuff nobody you notice. The canadian RSX had a larger washer bottle then the american one fo an example.

Alright guys, I'll admit that you definitely had me going for a while. I had distinctively remembered the salesman telling me of the "no-white" color last year and I also remember seeing the absence of white in the color chart of the 2006 Ridgeline brochure that the dealer gave me prior to my purchase.
So, I looked it up in my trusty service manual, so....:p :p :p :p
Andy-Montreal 01-25-2007, 07:28 PM Another way of finding out if a spotted white RL is a Canadian model, first digit starts with a "0" and U.S.Model starts with a "5"
mugen1 01-25-2007, 07:33 PM Manuals are "subject to change without notice".:D :D :D
Q1000, I love it that we got a bigger washer fluid bottle. Any other goodies our fellow Canadian RL owners got over the US models?
I just love the grey interior in my Black RL. <-------- Canadian models only!!
mugen1 01-25-2007, 07:38 PM Andy, I bet you know more about what's in the RL manual than most religious people know about what's in their Holy book.
I have the helms manual, too, but only refer to it when starting a project. I was determined to read it from cover to cover when it first arrived on my doorstep, but gave up after the first three pages. You da man!
Andy-Montreal 01-25-2007, 08:14 PM Andy, I bet you know more about what's in the RL manual than most religious people know about what's in their Holy book.
It's simple....I have no personal life!:D
Seriously speaking, whenever I get into something I dive right into it! The interaction with other RL owners on this site and helping out those that may need information actually relaxes me after a day full of stress. By referring to the manual, I learn more and more about the RL each day with every given problem.
With the Porsche, I've got the factory manuals (out-of-print), the dealer parts CD as well as the microfiche set and reader. Over the course of 16 years of 928 ownership I've re-wound, released and repaired whatever had to be "re-" on this car and if you have a few hours, I'll bore you to death on all of its design features!
My engineering backround makes everything much worse as I end up "anal-yzing" and mentally re-designing everything I see and interact with.
Moral of the story....DO NOT BUY THE MANUAL LEST YOU END UP LIKE ME!
kcss88 01-25-2007, 09:19 PM Just thought I'd put the white issue to rest. When I bought my 2006 silver ridgeline here in Ontario, the dealer had 2 white ones parked beside it. The colour was not in the 2006 brochures but became available part way through the model year in Canada.

Do you mind my asking when you purchased your truck? I purchased mine in October 2005 and white was N/A.
Perhaps it's a Quebec thing?
UtopiaRidge 01-26-2007, 07:50 PM I Bought a White EX-L Navi bought in Jan of 2006. They where made available to dealers starting in Dec. I Ordered mine as soon as I found they were available in white and had the Grey Leather Interior. Would not have bought with the olive color interior available in the States.

Thanks for the heads up UT! I checked my trusty service manual again and found a First Edition print date of May 2005. I'd love to see a Second Edition print manual to see if the paint color correction was made.
japantuner 01-27-2007, 06:08 PM me in 2006, my dealer tell me white is for usa and not for canada.. in 2007 is well in white
same things for my 2003 civic and 2005 civic in the past... but after they call me for sale reverb civic white....
a good thing, i've got 2007 ridgeline too :)

Q1000 01-27-2007, 09:28 PM I had a PWP RSX with black interior and the US its grey. So glad we got black. And the high end civic up here has acura symbols all over it, and the spell civic "CSX"
