2007 Nav problem?

I have an 07 with nav with less than 1000 miles and 3 different times the screen blanks out and I get an error message on the map display that says "cannot access the dvd see dealer" it goes away if I turn the key off and back on, is this common?

Not happened to me in 18 months of ownership.
Pull the DVD and see if there's any scratches or marks on it. If there aren't, recommend you follow the instruction.

No, I don't think that is common. I have a 2006 and have never seen that error. I suspect you have either a bad disc, or a bad nav unit. I'd suggest that the dealer let you try a new disc first and if you still have the error, then they will probably have to change out the dvd reader part of the nav system (under the driver's seat).

Don't know if it is related or not. I just picked up an 07 RTL/Navi. When I got the truck, the dealer said that Honda had recalled all 07 Nav DVDs. The dealer called three days later to say that my DVD was in. I installed it and have had no problems. FWIW the version on my DVD is 4.55A.
