Am looking at picking up a Retax system soon and was wondering how easy it was to take out of the truck, the video on the site shows them taking it out and putting it aside. I am wondering in the case of the RL is it easy to remove if you need that extra space? Also, what are peoples feelings on the experience they have had with this unit.

It's secured with 4 bolts but due to it's size and weight would be a two man job to lift in and out. I did install mine single-handed but I wouldn't advise it as there's too much risk that you might drop it and scratch either the cover or your truck. I would not recommend removing the runners after you remove the unit, so store it flat or on it's back with both runners pointing upwards. I've had mine for nearly 18 months and have had no cause to remove it although I will have to shortly if I go ahead with the installation of the back-up camera.

Cool sounds like a good product, appreciate the info.

We're extremely happy as one of the first RL owners to buy the Retrax. We don't plan on ever removing it, but it's going to be faster to remove than install (which wasn't hard) because unscrewing the bolts near the cab will be easier than hitting the threads going in. I'd guess 15 minutes with two people. It's not that heavy but the rails make it a "U" shape the same dimensions as your bed. You can imagine that's awkward to maneuver.
Also, we put silicone seal around ours and that would have to be peeled to take it out. Since we're not planning to remove it, we wanted to increase its water tightness. If we ever need more space to haul things, we'll rent a trailer.
I see you've looked at the detailed install thread. Here's the link for future ROCers investigating this idea.
