Just saw a bulletin from Honda that some A01 filters may have a manufacturing defect where the threads are crooked. This can cause the metal housing of the filter to hit the engine block before the seal which can create an oil leak.
The affected filters have lot numbers of 7A26, 7A29, 7A30, 7A31, 7B01, 7B02, 7B03.
This only applies to the A01 filters and only those with the above lot#'s.
We haven't had the A01 filters for about 5-6 months now and the A02's don't have any that are bad.
I'm not sure when the affected lot numbers came out but Honda has gone through quite a few of the A01's since we got our last batch of them.
I'm not sure where the lot number is on the A01's, (it's been awhile since I've seen one)
