Will my rts stereo play mp3's or recorded dvd's?My friend can make them for me,I just need to know what to tell him.

The stock stereo will play neither mp3's nor dvds. It will play burnt cd's however.

Maybe I am asking the wrong question?My friend can put 200 songs on a CD disc in MP3 format.Will my stock Ridge 6 disk be able to read and play them?Sorry I'm so audio-duh,But I'm greatful for your help.

The stock stereo will not play MP3's. It only understands the industry standard CDA format. If you put the CD in the dash you are talking about with 200 songs, the only thing you will hear is a symphony of silence. If you listen to an exact copy of your favorite Foghat CD in the CD player, it will work. If you compress the files to MP3 format, it will not.

You will need either the ridiculously overpriced Honda MP3 player or an aftermarket unit. I have an aftermarket unit mounted under the front passenger seat. You can also replace the cubby underneath the radio with a MP3 player. Honda makes a faceplate that replaces that cubby.
