"The Kid" comes through again!!the kid 06-16-2005, 12:55 AM Well ask and you shall receive...don't know exactly where this truck is, but if its lift you want then its lift you get. Sorry for the crappy pic...its a scan of a bad digi photo printout ;) the kid 06-16-2005, 08:09 AM 85 views and not one comment...not as many off-roaders on here as I though :D vertrkr 06-16-2005, 08:31 AM I appreciate it for what it is but it's not my style. It's also 7 in the morning for me and I haven't even finished my coffee yet so coming up with a comment is a slow process :) nwdiver 06-16-2005, 08:43 AM It looks too nice to use for off-roading. It would look better in a mini-monster truck show. golf12dude 06-16-2005, 08:53 AM i think it is ugly...... shovelhd 06-16-2005, 09:18 AM Is it for real or is it a Photoshop special? the kid 06-16-2005, 10:02 AM it's real it was at a honda event down in the states...and if I was that good at using photoshop I wouldn't be working at honda :D Grok Lobster 06-16-2005, 10:04 AM When I took my RL in for an oil change, I asked if they had sold any others yet as I still haven't seen any others around town yet. One of the guys said he saw one with lifts and he liked it a lot. Not for me. arteegee 06-16-2005, 10:06 AM  Ridgefoot... denvrfan 06-16-2005, 10:21 AM As I stated on a previous post, the Ridgeline is far too sophisticated for this type of treatment. I'll be selling mine if I start seeing this type of stuff show up on the roads. laserfan 06-16-2005, 10:23 AM I had asked about lifts in an earlier thread and no one got excited. I guess Ridgeline buyers tend not to be REAL truckers! ;) Seriously, we are among the Ridgeline owners who are completely new to pickup trucks, and given the clearance on the Ridge is only barely adequate for a Texas driveway (!) I wonder if just a few inches of lift is hard to do??? How??? Advice or links are welcome--I am clueless about how this is done! bellteck 06-16-2005, 11:00 AM Count me out, only lift my trucks getting is for an oil change !! :D I'd still like to see that thing doing some mud bogs  :D RidgeOwner3 06-16-2005, 11:13 AM Thanks for posting this picture, kid. I think it would get better "mileage" if it were posted on one of those 4x4 trucker web sites where all they can do is dis the Ridge for not being off road enough for them. They should know that it is customizable if they could get over their biases. zero 06-16-2005, 11:47 AM A little lift might be nice, but too much looks silly. I would still love to see someone come up with a computer controlled air bag system similar to this one available for the Jeep Wrangler (http://www.offroadonly.com/products/suspension/airock/). This way you can get lift when and if you need it. Otherwise, you can ride at stock height and no one would know the difference. It also auto levels for those heavy payloads. Tux 06-16-2005, 05:27 PM I was into the lift thing back in the day but I agree this one doesn't look good. I've actually done a lift or two. This one looks mostly like a body lift, which is about the easiest to do. Main reason to do it, fit BIGGER tires in the wheel wells. If you look at the pick, this looks like a major body lift. Oh, and whats up with those UGLY  paint/sticker effects, kinda look like fake flames or something. Hey, is that a Elvis look alike in the background? Damn, did Elvis buy a ridge? DABRidgeman333 06-16-2005, 06:19 PM Cant say i like the lifted look myself, either. My cousin just got a F-350 super duty, HUGE mother wheels, and lifted it to maximum legal limit.. HUGE, but nice looking. Very "bigfooty". Thats the kind of truck you lift. Personally, my ridge is to sophisticated to "monster" out. BUT, to each his own. as long as the image of the vehicle is not ruined by non owners who see something like that. I think about the only thing i am interested in, is juuuust a little more rumble in the exhaust. but thats another thread entirely!! maybearidge 06-16-2005, 08:06 PM yeah..me too-I would love a little rumble without the wet fart noise you hear on so many imports. I'm also jonesing for some wheels-they are just too small and ugly-but I don't think I want to risk changing all of the engineering dynamics just for looks. I carry precious cargo in my truck :) Whaleya 06-16-2005, 08:34 PM um... how do you do a body lift on a unibody truck? I would like to see a mild lift on the Ridgeline, say 2". It's a bit embarrassing that we have to take our Subaru and not the Ridgeline if we need extra clearance on bad fire roads. BamaRidge 06-16-2005, 09:33 PM  Ridgefoot... Ridgefoot That was funny :D arteegee 06-16-2005, 10:22 PM I was into the lift thing back in the day but I agree this one doesn't look good. Hey, is that a Elvis look alike in the background? Damn, did Elvis buy a ridge? Elvis has probably been spotted more times in the last few months than Ridgelines. :D Northwood 06-16-2005, 10:31 PM Personally, I think monster trucks are silly, like wrestling. Still looks kinda cool. Whatever, at least it gives the haters something else to bitch about. Should post that pic on the autoweek forum and let those morons at it! :) meanmachine19 06-17-2005, 07:48 AM Does that lift come with a ladder? This is my first real truck and often wondered how on earth you climb into something so huge (I'm only 5'7"). Guess that's why it's just not my style  but to each his own. Good luck with your monster truck, Kid. Tiger 06-17-2005, 02:45 PM My Grandson thinks it looks great. He is working for me this summer and today every time we went over a big clod or bottomed out going over a deep rut, I got this look he said, Pop you have just got to jack this Ridgeline up. I like mine like it is. That picture looks pretty cool though. Tiger RedRice 12-15-2005, 10:17 PM Not sure what it is but those mods just don't look right on a RidgeLine. Ruffles 12-16-2005, 12:20 PM Very interesting. Too much lift for me but I'd love to hear details about how they did it. Thanks for posting the pic! ephodzen 01-15-2006, 11:57 AM Kind of sick IYAM. cuincourt 01-15-2006, 02:54 PM I have but one question. WHY???? Duncan 01-15-2006, 05:43 PM The better question is probably why not? It's not for me either, but I like to see people experimenting and pushing the RL to the limits. Variety is the spice of life. If someone can do a 4" drop or a 16" lift and still use the vehicle, more power to them. I personally won't be doing any of these extreme mods, but it makes people feel more comfortable with their more conservative modifications. I dont think there is any need to trade in your Ridgeline because one has been lifted, and I also don't think this cheapens the RL or refelcts poorly on the drivers of RL's. It just shows the RL has a vast appeal and meets many different lifestyles. beast644 01-17-2006, 10:59 AM Id be really interested to know how they pulled this one off on a unibody truck with 4 wheel independent suspension, lots of money thats for sure! cuincourt 01-18-2006, 10:09 PM Doesn't look like the real deal to me. I seem to have spotted a wrinkle(no pun intended)in the picture. Besides, who would butcher a truck like this. arteegee 01-18-2006, 10:19 PM Doesn't look like the real deal to me. I seem to have spotted a wrinkle(no pun intended)in the picture. Wrong, Sherlock. hurleyint04 04-17-2006, 10:43 PM i would love if my ridgeline looked like that...haha personally 2 in lift isnt cutting it for me. i bottom out wayy to much up where i go BIGGUY 04-18-2006, 08:58 AM Well ask and you shall receive...don't know exactly where this truck is, but if its lift you want then its lift you get. Sorry for the crappy pic...its a scan of a bad digi photo printout ;) If this is what you consider an off road unit:rolleyes: I have seen many of these high riders upended because there center of gravity is to high:eek: They don't side hill worth a damn, as long as your acending or decending in a stright line your fine. But turn across the line and your rolling to the bottom not on your wheels:( Good Luck! NKyRidge 04-18-2006, 09:20 AM it was my understanding the Honda advised aganist - larger tires, suspension mods etc. no? I like the RL just as it - maybe a bit wider track tires - I really miss my Bridgestone Dueler AT's RJPerset 04-21-2006, 09:46 PM Thats either a nice photo shop job or its had major work done to the suspension. The Ridgelines suspension with its front wheel drive transverse engine would not allow this lift. Sorry but ain't happenin. :( I think it looks cool though. I'm with the KID I want it. If it was done they probably put the Ridge Body on a toyota tacoma frame. bigred1 06-21-2006, 01:45 PM Thats either a nice photo shop job or its had major work done to the suspension.
