I realized the answer is just about as plain to see as the nose on my face: Window sticker. I am in serious need of this weekend. Please disregard this thread.

I hear ya. This was the week from H_ _ _ at work. I am on the ragged edge of my sanity. So tomorrow bright and early the wife and will gas up the Ridge and head for the mountains. Ahhhhhhhhhhh fresh air, sunshine and no damn phones or florescent lights.

As I remember, the sales guy told me that the only difference between the 06 and 07's is that the 07's have EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution). Then again, he also told me I would make up the difference in price from the MUCH cheaper car insurance because the 07's have this feature. So I guess he was half right.

EBD is not a new feature on the 07's. All of the 2006 Ridgelines have EBD also.
About the only difference in the 06 and 07, besides the addition of the RTX, is a driver side vanity mirror, and the center caps on the 07 alloy wheels have a black H...Oh and about $300.

But the original question as I recall reading before he changed it was when they stopped producing the 06 and started the 07. I can't really tell you the month they changed, but July 2006 TMac drove a 2007 Dark Cherry Red Ridgeline to the first annual Ridge Run in Columbus and Marysville Ohio. It was a loaner from a dealer in Illinois. Honda Of Joliet.

RRider, thank you for your post. Apparently July of every year marks the beginning of the next model year run, at least so it seems.

It is Saturday, and the brain is still on coast....

I have looked at the 07's, and have read the brochure, Honda website, etc., and have not seen info about the SRS being upgraded.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but i would like to know where you got this info, and what upgrades and additional sensors were added?

Passenger side weight sensor in seat. Vanity mirror on drivers sunvisor. Little Black "H" on center cap. That is all.

I already listed the Vanity mirror, and the black H on the center cap. My question is about the sensors for the SRS. WHERE do you get the info that the 07 has a weight sensor in the passenger seat? OH I have read others state that it does in this forum...But that IMHO is NOT proof.

I just looked at the Honda site...It does not say anything about a weight sensor. It says it uses special height and position sensors. Again, I see nothing about weight. Sounds like the same system the 06's have.

Maybe the 07 owner's manual lists it, but nothing I have seen does.

As someone that has owned both an 06 and 07 here are the differences that I have found:
1. Added vanity mirror for drivers side.
2. The seats are one tone vice two (RTL).
3. The steering wheel seems smaller on the 07 as compared to the 06.
4. Passenger air bag off light comes on during engne start cycle/start up sequence.

There may be others but these are the only things that I have found so far.

This is per TSB 06-032:

NEW MODEL INFORMATION
Front Passenger’s Weight Sensors
For the 2007 Ridgeline, the front passenger’s seat has
weight sensors to detect the weight on the seat. The
weight sensors are part of the SRS (supplementary
restraint system). If the weight on the seat is about 65
pounds or less, the ODS (occupant detection system)
unit sends this information to the SRS unit to prevent
the front passenger’s airbag from deploying. When the
front passenger’s airbag is disabled, the passenger’s
airbag cutoff indicator on the center panel comes on to
alert the driver that the front passenger’ airbag will not
deploy in a front-end collision.
The ODS unit combines the functions of the OPDS
(occupant position detection system) unit and the seat
weight sensor unit, which have been used on many
other Honda models.

Driver’s Seat Position Sensor
The driver’s seat position sensor is under the driver’s
seat on the left side, and it is part of the SRS. When the
driver’s seat is moved to its full-forward position, the
deployment of the driver’s airbag is moderated to
decrease its force of impact during a front-end collision.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't dispute the fact that the 07's had differences. I just was asking where that info could be found. I still don't understand why there is nothing in the 07 brochure, nothing on Honda's website, etc.

The info you posted shows it came from a TSB, that's interesting.

I can understand you being cautious about information. Some things posted here should be taken with a grain of salt. Some information posted here should be taken to the bank too! ;) This is the internet...where all good information is out there amid all the bad information.

Diesel? First I heard 2009, then they said the Ridgeline wouldn't get a diesel at all, then they changed it back to 2009, but the latest is 2011.

I can pretty much assure you that the Ridgeline will not get a diesel in 2009. Looks like 2011. I don't like the delay, but there's not much we can do about it.
