every time I by a new truck, it's all the same deal. I wish they would tell you what is on the interior so when you clean it, it doesnt turn out bad. sometimes, they push their product, honda did not so I wonder what is really the BEST cleaner. I know you will all say 303. so if you do use it does it leave weird marks (like you missed spots?)
I love to clean and always take my time doing it, never missing a thing lol:rolleyes: but this sometimes fustrates me
HELP!!!!!!!!1

303 is not a cleaner. It's only cleaning ability is that it' s wet. Clean with an APC first, then apply the 303. Be sure to buff the 303 to even it out and prevent streaking.

Sorry, yes, All Purpose Cleaner. My personal favorite is Charlie's. No residue left at all. I use it on everything. So far today, i've cleaned he threshold on my exterior door, countertops, stove tops, bathroom sink, kitchen tile floor, my kart, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

Also, their laundry soap is a must for microfiber towels. Again, no residue.

Regular old soap and water in a very thin mix is perfect for cleaning and yes 303 is the best PROTECTANT out there and it is NOT a cleaner

Winggirl, your truck is how old? So just how dirty is your interior? :D

I have two kids who leave mud and drinks and sticky candy all over the inside of my truck. If it's on my leather seats, I use the Lexol Cleaning wipes followed by the Lexol conditioning wipes. Any plastic pieces of the interior, like on the doors, I use either Simply Green or the wet sponge I used to wash my exterior. But mostly by keeping 303 Protectant on my surfaces, they rarely need to be cleaned, rather just wiped. Oh and my rubber floor mats get washed when I wash the exterior. I can honestly say by just staying on top of keeping my truck clean, at over 18,000 miles and a year old, it looks nearly as new as the day I drove it off the lot.

Oxy clean diluted in water and a spray bottle works well.

I've had real good luck with just dishwashing soap diluted with water, not too much as it is abrasive. Then I follow up with Plexus protectant. Thats on the plastic stuff. On the leather I'm using lexol cleaner and following up with Klasse protectant. I luckily haven't needed to clean the carpet yet but previously would just use some carpet soap really diluted with water and just sprayed it down and either use a carpet cleaning machine of shop vac to get rid of it. Just remember that any residual soap will attract future dirt so you may consider rinsing it down with water for a final rinse and touching it up with some 3m protectant.

The above is done only about twice a year, the rest of the time a vacum and wipe down with a wet chamois is good enough.

You could just pay some shop about $100.00 to detail your car for you and forget about it. That's easiest.

Good Luck

I use a damp cloth to clean my interior - just wipe everything off, including my floor mat, if I spill a drink I drag the mat out and rinse her off.

once to twice a year, depending on the looks of the leather I wipe the seats with lexol leather treatment and vinyl treatment along with the rest of the interior, just the same way I take care of my Porsche.

She looks good.

lol I'm a huge clean freak and always have been:rolleyes: I asked a buddy of mine who details and he said any application you should a clean applicator pad ( you can buy a pack of 4, I get mine at target) So, I did what he said. I first apply with pad, then use a clean smooth cloth (lint free, also found at target lol) to buff it out, what a difference. So "little Ms. clean freak" is happy :D

I have wiped my cloth seats down with a plain wet cloth - no soap...nothing. When the water dries it leaves a watermark....If a drop of rain hits the seats - same thing.

Yep, mine too, and it is really annoying. My vehcile before the RL also did this. Are they just using cheap material now in cars ?? I have never seen plain old water dry into water marks.

Mud, ok, but drinks and sticky candy, that's grounds for death at my house.
