Will these fit?

Hey all,

I am looking to buy a new comp set and don't know if they will fit, being that I'm not sure what the mounting depth in the front doors of the Ridge. I have a 07 RTX.

The speakers are Rainbow CMX 265 components. There mounting depth is 65 / 63 mm. 65 without the mounting ring, 63 with.

Easy question, will these fit?

Also, I have a set of JL XR 6.5's and I dont know if they will fit in the back. If they won't I'll have to put them on a shelf and buy something else.

I'm assuming you're putting these in the front doors. I have the SLC's which have a 62mm depth and they fit fine with a 1" spacer ring. I'm not sure what the exact depth is but I think you'd be safe with another 3mm. Forget about the factory ring, it's useless.

I was planning on just building some mdf rings...

Still dont know if 6.5's will fit in the read? I haven't taken this things apart yet.

I am guessing you meant the rears, they are the same size, but focus on the fronts for better sound.

I used the one inch spacer on my fronts and needed to cut off the "channeling ring" so the door panel would fit flush.

Channeling ring = plastic ring on door panel around speaker opening. Learned that from another forum

Oh definately, my focus right now is my front stage. That is why I'm going with Rainbow this time and I'm going to buy a new amp because my 300/4 sucks.

The JL's should fit but you will need the ring. I used 3/4: MDF and made the ring.
I have Focal K2 in the front and JL's in the rear. Powered the front with JL 300/4 and bridged the sub. Just powered the rear from the headunit (Alpine 9885). My system sounds very nice. Could be your amp or it could be the present speakers you have. I really wouldn't power the OEM speakers with the 300/4.
