Tailgate lock does not work !!!

Looked and searched thru out the site for this problem, but no luck. I have the Basikconcepts electric tailgate lock and the siht don't work anymore! Not locking with the alarm system. What should I do? Anything at all....

Sorry, I don't have a real answer. But I've been looking at installing a tailgate lock and am interested in any fix the members have used that really works.

First, who installed the lock? With electrical devices, one of the things to troubleshoot first is the wiring. Verify that all wire taps, connections, etc. are intact. If you used T-Taps, they are known to come loose over time especially if you did not strip the wire you were tapping. The other problem you may have is the acutator (check spelling) is dead...if this is the case, you will need to buy a new acutator. I'm sure Basikconcepts used a generic acutator so you will need to replace it. From what I know Basikconcepts is no longer in business so dealing with them directly may be another problem.
