When driving in stormy weather, with the headlights lights on during the day, the nav screen is practically useless it is so dim. Is there a way to increase the brightness of the screen when the headlights are on?

Do you have the dash-lights at full brightness, forcing the Nav screen into daylight mode? You can also adjust the screen brightness via the setup menu.

Thanks,

I have played with the dash light switch and it seems to make little difference that I can see. I am pleased with the brightness of the screen under normal conditions, it is just the "black out" in daylight when the lights are on that is a puzzle.

I will try to figure out the setup menu. So much to learn with this nav system, interesting!

Thanks!! :)

Thanks!! :)Do you have the Nav brightness in the set up screen set to the auto function. If you do this will cause it to dim when you have your headlights on in the daytime. It could also be that you need to adjust the Nav screen brightness in the set up menu.

You need to "play" with the switch a little more. Rotate the switch until you hear a "click" and the screen will switch to daylight brightness.
