Is there any way to play the radio with the doors open without that annoying beeping noise? I find that if I play the radio loud enough, the beeping seems to go away ; however that might upset the neighbors.

I haven't checked but is there a button you can put a piece of tape over in the door frame? Not sure it would even be strong enough... I'm sure if you go to the Long Island meet in October, someone will show you what to do... :D

Doesn't the buzzer turn off if you leave the door open for, say, a week or two?

I'm Not Sure Why You Play The Radio With The Doors Open, But I Just Open The Sun Roof And Windows, Sides And Rear And Get The Same Effect

maschked, Welcome to the ROC... As stated by Brich, you would have to devise a system that wedges each door switch that is opened.

I haven't tried on the Ridge yet, but on my F-150, and other US vehicles, if you click the door latch to the closed position, it trips (Iopens) the switch that activates the lights and the buzzer. Just remember to be sure to untrip, or open, the latch when you close the door. I use the screwdriver blade on my Swiss Army knife to reach in the trip the latch.

I've used tht little trick when we were camping or picnicking on trips, and occasionally in the driveway when I'm working on the vehicle. I'll try it on the Ridge soon, 'cause I am curious.

EDIT: Disregard the above. I just tried it, and it doesn't work. The beeping continues...

why don't you just set your keys to II or when you about to start the truck, the bell turns off after 10 dings or so. then you can play you radio without the bell dinging.

That must be annoying. All the stereos in my cars have been on an external switch that bypasses the ignition.

I imagine you can do that to the OEM radio as well. Splice into the accessory power wire, use a constant 12 volt power source, and install a switch.
