Hey guys!!!! It was great meeting all of you. Hope we can do it again sometime soon. Maybe we could all take a trip to somewhere scenic.... like Starved Rock or Galena(probably a litle too far...) Or somewhere we could do some off road and get the RL's dirty:D :D :D  !!!!! Anyways... lets keep in touch.

Why would I wanna get my truck dirty? I did that in South Dakota and Wyoming! ;)

I agree - we gotta do this again. We had: Me (oldcoastie) aka Jeff, Chisoxjim (Jim), ALGNET Andy), JohnK (John), QXTREEM (Brad), MTNMAN (Lee), Directman (Roger) and Samhiam (Tommy). And I apologize, but CRS syndrom kicked in and Jim is the only name I can remember of those who also brought a spouse. Please fill in the blanks for me...

We'll try for a larger crowd next time! :D

Photos tomorrow or Monday!

It really was great to meet you guys. Anytime ya'll wanna hang out, name it. I am down for some light off roading anytime as well :).
Glad I got to see some different Tonnau's in person,as well as meet Jims high milage workhorse heh.
I think we had a good number of Ridges and I loved seeing them lined up. I really wanted to bring my junk camera but couldnt find it in time, and of course now I did.
And I blame some of my forgetfullness on the strong Buttface I had (beer) so though I dont remember Lee's wife's name, I know it was her who let her Ridgeline come out and play heh so thank you. Also, Jim and Andy brought their beautiful children.
I am just trying to help fill in the blanks forgive if I got that wrong.
Take care, and yes keep in touch.
Brad

It was great to match the faces with the names. The RL's owners name is Gayle.
We definitely do this more often, it was a great time.

Hey Guys maybe next time we can get a group from St Louis and Chicago to meet up somewhere in the middle.

Glad you guys had a good time.

Hope some of our Ill bretheren will be coming down for the Ridge Run. If not I'm going to try and upload pics as quickly as I can during the day over at Huey's. They have WiFi so if you can check the site during the day!!!

I definitly had a good time meeting you guys, and was happy with the turn out.

It was great to put some faces with the screen names of the folks I have been chatting with, or have seen posting on the site as well.

I am looking forward to seeing the pictures that were taken once they are posted.

You guys have some really nice looking trucks.

I look forward to another meet or just getting together to chat about our RL's.

Talk to you soon,

Jim

I was afraid someone would ask.

I'll give it my best shot.

From left to right: Brad L., me (Jeff L.), Jim Q., I think Lee F. is next, I think Tommy M. (Samhein) is next, then John K., and Andy G. kneeling. There was another member there with his wife & child who had to leave earlier - Roger B., (Directman). Please, please excuse me if I got the names wrong (probably should be SINCE I got the names wrong). I'm terrible with names, especially the first time around. I have a list of those that attended, but it's not in the order of the lineup in the photo.

I just know I got the names screwed up. Give me some help, guys.

I suppose we coulda worked on things like this more at the time ;). I really did want to bring my camera and help with pictures but my roommate has my camera in Iowa.

And again, ill try to help here.. in the picture left to right its Brad(Qxtreem), Jeff(Oldcoastie), Jim(Chisoxjim), Lee(Mtnman), - Then I believe its Roger(Directman), John(Johnk1) and then Tommy(Samhian1031) kneeling down.
I also hope I got that right though.

It was a great 1st meet for us. Thanks again. You all are awesome!

I know Brad (btw - RL's a beauty*), I was pullin into RAM when I thought "DAMM - I wish I had my camera!!!" Oops... Jeff - Great job on postin the pics!!! Does anyone know somewhere in the area that we would be allowed to do some mild off - roading? I'd love to bring the kids and drive out into the "wild" and do a little pic-a-nick...(Hey Boo Boo...) with some bev - ra -ges, you know what I mean??? :p

For those interested I think the bed mats were called Protecta Heavy Weight Truck Bed Mats or SkidGuard Liner Mat with Rib Grips by ProTecta. Everywhere I looked they were priced around 90$$ here's an example....

http://www.truckstuffusa.com/bedlinersmats.html

So if you can remember where they were bought for $50 - please post it.

Oh..... thanks for the FYI - about the auto window feature. My wife n kids thought it was the coolest thing... Da wife's Q35 does it too...

Thanks for posting the pics Jeff,

Tommy, the only offroad area I know of is an offroad park on the border of Seneca, and Marseilles, but it is more for the modified jeep, and atv crowd. Sorry I cant think of anywhere else to go, legally that is.. ;)

Isn’t a great feeling to finally be able to meet and share this time together over the same truck we all love to drive!?! I think these meet & greets are the best part of owning such a unique vehicle. Thanks for the awesome photos. You folks in the east ROC!!

Jim, I was talkin to a Jeep guy today and was dyin to get home an post the link to that place. You beat me too it...LOL. Anyway he said there are a few different levels to the park from mild to extreme. Since it seems to b close to you .... anyway you could do a scout run for the rest of us. I'd love to make a Starved Rock - Insane Terrain day trip. Maybe even sqeeze in a little fishin on the river while down there....

tommy,

it is close, maybe 5 mins, but from reading the website, and seeing the caravan of vehicles guys bringing in there on trailers, I do not think the RL would be a able to use it without some modifications.

I am always up for a Starved Rock meet, and it would be a pleasure to invite you fine folks I met this weekend back to my place for a cook-out, and some cold ones. I have a a decent sized property(just under an acre), plenty of room to throw around a football, or frisbee, and I am planning on buying one of those bean-bag toss games this weekend... a perfect game for idling away a nice summer day with a cold one in hand.
