First, thanks to those who sent suggestions for things to see and do up there. Just a few notes after a 2800-mile trip. Gas mileage was between 21 and 23 mpg. BTW, gas in Canada is at least $3.75 USD/gallon. I think they have been sensible enough to put a bigger tax on it.
We took three rocks to the windshield in one day (only one minor chip). Do they pave differently up there?
We drove through Toronto on the 401/400 in the afternoon. Don't ever do that if you can avoid it! Toronto was a 2-hour gridlock! Take the back roads.
We traveled up the Bruce penisula and took the ferry. Stayed overnight in Owen Sound and Little Current. Both lovely places with lots of friendly people (nobody smugly mentioned the mess in Iraq that they avoided. I guess they figured we had enough trouble without rubbing salt in the wound). Anyway, the scenery was simply lovely. We stopped in Tobermory and toured the 5 Fathom park. I can't wait to get back to the Georgian Bay with our trawler.
According to the Nav system we drove off the end of the earth on the Bruce Peninsula and climbed back onto the known world somewhere outside of Sault Ste. Marie. Good thing we had an Ontario map. I guess they must have a different DVD for Canadian buyers?
Anyway, the Ridgeline was, as usual, comfortable and capable. I am still thrilled with it.
HP.
