My guess is the lobby drinking area as it is Air Conditioned and they stop serving at 19:00 - I am going back to the Ridgeline to get the beer to put in the room fridge -did get 80 5oz cups for tasting samples.

As long as the internet is up, I will be posting - at 9:00 this AM a group is going to the Arch. ( me too ) . Will post pictures.

The party was going on in the warm 4th floor parking deck last night, went to get the beer and ended up talking til midnight. The beer's in the fridge.

Those not staying at the ROC hotel (Drury on Olive) will need to find a ROC member staying there to get a room key to let you into the parking deck so we can get a picture of all the ridgelines on the 4th floor. A couple of ROC's stated that they are not going in the deck - too low a ceiling, but there is still 6 inches above the luggage rack on the 4 that came up with luggage racks.

Going for breakfast.

it's 0130 in the morning - there is still a lot of beer left and I am having trouble working the mouse so i will post pictures later after i get some coordination back. I will try to get names and faces together in a future post but everyone has not gotten here yet and the presentions are at 10:00. I sure hope this makes sense. I was a party pooper as most are still on the parking desk dragging Gary Flint and the honda team from ridgeline to ridgeline to show what has happened or needs fix or improved.

Gary is very curious as to how many ridgeines have had the splash sheild on the passenger front wheel cut by dealers / oil change places as doing so allows water to get in the engine compartment and can do damage.

He asked buth ChrisM and me about that -We both laughed as we do all our own maintainance and have not had a dealer do any regular service.

Fell asleep a minute ago so I am going to bed.

Hey Guys,

As you can tell from my name i'm from the Element Owners Club. I tried to find you guys at the Drury inn around 9:30pm but the guy at the front desk said you all were at Trailhead In old St. Chuck. Oh well I'm gonna try to come to Huey's on saturday. Is it ok if I show up in my Element? You guys won't drag me down the highway will you?

That is one of Honda's off road concepts from a SEMA show a while back... Every once in a while posts will appear about those lights and why honda has not put them out yet... Same with the "street" concept. People want to know why honda doesn’t have those fog lights out or body fascia...

Gary Flint and Kevin both from Honda working on "my" truck!!! How lucky for those of us who attended are to have had the chance to meet with the development team for the Ridgeline product. Here I have Gary and Kevin (Past Development manager and current development manager) working to correct an issue with my tailgate. The Service Technician Steve really knew his stuff and was looking to fix the issue when Gary and Kevin joined in and resolved the issue as a team effort. I can not say enough about the great times we have had so far (See the second photo).

and still more picture - I got my A11 fusebox upgraded to an A12 for free. If I paid for it my local honda dealer, it would have cost more than the hotel and gas to come.

Moosepond had rust on his plastic bumper. Gary Flint and his team assisted on the repairs and we got to watch!!!!

TMac - thank you for a wonderful meet. Those who did not make it missed out as much as a ford or chevy truck owner does when they don't drive a ridgeline.

Also thanks to Huey Honda, The were perfect hosts and bent over backwards to fix everything that was complained about. The have been a presidentail award dealer many times over the last few years and it shows. They don't have the most modern showroom, but the people in service (some on their day off ) worked their butts off in 95 degree weather for us.

Gary Flint and his team really listen to our gripes, issues and wishes, If the even do 10% of what was sugggested, they will have to open another manufacturing plant just for honda trucks.

I am suggesting to every ROC member that attended to thank T Mac and Julie, Huey Honda ( we had to affect their sales in a negative way today ) and Gary Flint and his team that joined us in St. Louis.

I had a ball, my wife who I dragged with be had a good time. I am sure I will be at the 2008 meet with my Ridgeline unless it is in Hawaii or Alaska.

I have some video of the introduction of the Honda team that presented to us on Saturday - it is 253 mb long. I will not post it until T-Mac says its ok to do so.

I did not record Gary's presentation, It is awesome, I keep fearing Honda will make an 1 hour infommercal out of it an put it on cable, then I will have to figure ot which of the 1000's of ridgelines at walmart is my blue one. (hint honda marketing - this would not be another stealth marketing campaign - might open a lot of eyes )

I will also try to get a snapfish site (Internet picture sharing) setup to post the 2mb resolution pictures I have when I get home.

I am at my wifes' parents house right now and all my stuff is packed in the ridgeline.

hopefully I'm home tonight by 20:00.

The black ridge in the last post was showing us that our trucks are always in 4 wheel drive.:DNo doubt! Now I understand how the VTM and VSA really work...the best demo they put on. Sure the rock-drop was something as well.

yes, I made it back. I was wanting to snooze on the drive back

For those who were within driving distance and didn't go, you REALLY missed out. Hanging out with Gary, Kevin and the Honda crew each night in the parking ramp was really great. I found out that the Honda guys didn't have matchbox RL's! Even Gary didn't have any until he recently purchased a 4-pack of red's on eBay. So I had to hook them up.

Friday, six of us toured Busch Stadium. If you are a baseball fan, this is a must. Beautiful stadium.

I'll work on the photos tonight, so maybe by tomorrow night I should be able to post up.

We made it back a few hours ago. I bought a small plastic pool on the way home and Julie and I are going to sit outside and... nah! Just kidding. I'm exhausted and thinking about my head on the pillow within 30-60 minutes.

Thanks again to everyone for making the drive, for being so much fun and for being a part of the ROC! I have some images to share, but for now I'll simply start with the four trucks that Gary and company had on display for the ROC members on Saturday. I took a few pictures also, but none of them would show anything that hasn't already been posted. I would like to say thanks to T Mac, Gary, and everyone else involved that made this past weekend a special one. It was great finally getting to put faces with screen names. Everyone we met was very friendly, and we made many new friends. Gary and his team's presentation was very informative, and I appreciated their willingness to hang out with us and answer any questions at any time, even during the late evening beverage consumption. Lastly, thanks to Huey's Honda for hosting the clinics, feeding us, and performing so much free work. I felt that the event was very successful but we could have used a few more folks to help finish off the beverages. Maybe next year... :D

P.S. - It was totally cool to see almost the entire top floor of the parking garage filled with Ridgelines.

Steve (geotech) and I were trying to hint to Tom how Kansas would be a good central location for next year's event ;) . Smaller towns and still stuff to do (and yes, shopping), only downside would be if we did geotech's Flint Hill's run everyone's shiney truck would get dusty  (plus, and hour's drive from where the group might be staying) but it's actually worth it.

Just like to add thanks to everyone for being so nice and welcoming :) .

I had a great time at the meet and really enjoyed meeting a lot of the new members that have very few posts. To those folks, please post more. We'd really like to hear from you.

I also had some nice conversations with some long time members. It is really nice to be able to put a face to a screen name.

I got a chance to sit down and share a meal with Moosepond, K757, Scully69, (whose truck looks almost exactly like mine by the way.), her husband, MikeT and a bunch of other folks.

I also had a chance to talk to a bunch of folks over a beer or 4. (LOL) If I left out your name, it was not intentional. I could write a book of the interesting conversations that I had a chance to have.

Gary and his team were very informational and at the same time really listened to our concerns. They held a focus group on Saturday with about 10 of us. I wish I could remember everyones name but I there were just too many folks. For those who don't realize it, Gary brought along about 5 people with him. He also brought along his family.

I would also like to mention that my wife came along and stood out in the heat with me for much of the day Saturday. I have never announced it on the open forum but my wife insisted that she come to the meet despite the fact that she is 8 months pregnant. (We are expecting a son on September 5th!! :) )

Here is a link to the pics that I took. I tried to post pictures that no one had yet posted.

Why oh why did I have to work. I wanted to go so bad. But there will always be next year. Do it in Louisville, Ky or better yet as my local honda dealer hehe. I hope to be able to make it to next years and this time have my ridgeline. It said to see everyones ridgeline and not have one but I will. I must. Its a honda.

Glad to see everyone had a fun time.

Well guys I finally got a few minutes to finish uploading the shots I took. Did not take a whole lot Saturday as I was a little busy trying to get everything ready to print onsite the pictures of the group. But I see Keith did a great job of getting everything.
