Beatles Show In Staten Island August 18th

Hey Area ROC Members...... Any Beatles Fan's out there ? "The Cast" of Beatlemania is giving a free concert at Father Capodanno Blvd. in Staten Island. I don't know what type of set up this is, I will try and check it out this weekend or sooner. If you never seen this Band before, let me tell you, they are AWESOME !!! As close as you can get to the real deal !!! I have seen them 5 or 6 times and am still AMAZED by the performance each and every time !!! There has not been one person whom I have talked into going that has been disappointed...... even The Beatle skeptic's... all have given praise after seeing this show. So if anybody out there want's to Twist And Shout, may-be we can add some Ridgelinemania, and make it a really Awesome day!!! I will post more info as I get it. Yeah Yeah Yeah !!! :D

Just got back from checking this place out.... A reall easy find using mapquest. The place is right on the beach......perfect place,and plenty of parking. There is a Billy Joel Tribute Band on before The Cast.They come on at 6:30...... after the Beatles show,there are fireworks..... Should be a good time!!! Hope to see some area Ridgeliners tag along for the show. :cool: I will probably head over there earlier.... maybe a dip before,hanging out at the Ridge for the pre show warm up. :eek:

Damn Mike, that sounds like an excellent time. At this time it appears there is just no way I can make it. I've wanted to see them for a long time and it looks like I'm going to miss them again.

I hope my schedule lightens up and I can make it.

Hey Joe........ It does sound like an excellent time indeed......Some swimming,some tailgating,some Billy Joel,some Beatles,some Fireworks !!! Only way to make it better, would be, to be surrounded by a few more Ridgelines and some Ridgeline Buddies !!! :cool: Joe, did you check out The Cast website ?
They should have a tour schedule........ may-be you can find them closer to you ???

Just a bump..... show is TODAY...... I will probably be there around 4:00. I am hoping to find a few Ridgeliners there. :)

What a Great Time we had at the Beach Festival yesterday. I didnt see any Ridgelines......but this place would have to be considered for a meet next summer ! It was Fantastic !!! The weather was perfect, the set up was great, and the music by the Billy Joel and Beatles cover bands, along with the Fireworks to end the day,were simply AWESOME !!! The Boardwalk was packed with vendors and food wagons. The Beach was Beautiful.The park surrounding the beach,and stage set up was Perfect.People set up blankets,tables and chairs for the all day picnic....it was a Real Good Time !!! We got there just before 4,and the entertainment had already started... the music continued to a little past 9, and then the firework show,that had to last for at least 45 minutes. It was a full day of perfecto fun in the sun !!! Wish You's Were There !!! Maybe next time......... :rolleyes: ;) :D :)
