I can't remember the last time we had snow or ice significant enough to drive any slower or more cautious than normal here in Northeast Texas, but now that I have my first 4WD, I hope I get to try it out this winter! We did have a slight snow accumulation a couple of winters ago, and the FWD Regal with traction control did admirably. Even more fun was turning off the traction control and doing donuts in an empty parking lot in reverse! :D

I'm sure that where I live (north NJ), I'm in for a couple of storms this year. Since I just got this baby this past May, I am wondering how the Ridge will handle in the snow, and there is one way to find out. :)
Here's hoping you get just enough snow in TX to try it out. I'm sure it will melt fast enough so it wont be too much of a bother.

You will find out quickly how horrible driving the RL in snow is... The problem is it works too well in the snow...:D .

Yes it is :D ... I tend to forget the capabilities of the RL and treat it more like a delicate car or cheesy SUV... You know what I mean, , being afraid of silly speed bumps or some bumpy roads... ...
This past winter I tested out the ABS (just to hear all the crunching noise), locked the VTM in R and drove out of the driveway without shoveling the foot of snow; drove down unplowed roads occupied with stranded jeeps; made fast turns to make the VSA kick on....
I personally think every one should take the opportunity to go through a planed testing of their RL to get a feel what you think you are in control of..... The RL works hard to keep you in control...

Turn off the VSA.
I always wish for snow. The Ridgeline is the ultimate snowboard hauler. :)

Wow hoping for snow!! I don't even think about it as normal here can be 5 to 6 months of winter driving. Yes I use winter tires (Snow Flake Symbol on the sidewall) Yes a very huge difference in traction and braking when compared to the all season M&S. Don't think you need them if you have to pray for snow. Enjoy your ride.

I think, in the 2 winters that I've had my Ridgeline (since November 05) we have had 1 decent snowstorm. Ridgeline is extremely stable and very comfortable to drive with snow covering the road surfaces. I can't say that I'm looking forward to another snow storm, but I sure don't mind them as much as I did when I drove a sedan.
