Pizza Man 08-24-2007, 06:33 AM I was wondering if anybody would like to assist in setting up a meet in the Lehigh Valley, PA.
Are you talking Allentown area? Also, don't forget the Long Island Meet in October. That's not too far a drive for you.
StoneRidge07 08-24-2007, 06:36 AM Well I first wanted to see how many replies I could aquire and then look into the place (meaning how many hard core ridgeline fans are in NE PA Lehigh Valley). I am looking at October because of the nice change in season. Any other thoughts about the area or place to have it at. i know there are some pretty nice park areas.
alsridge 08-24-2007, 07:43 AM There is a meet in Oct, on Long Island. Nov. would work.
justdeefire 08-24-2007, 08:23 AM i would attend if not working.
StoneRidge07 08-30-2007, 09:53 AM Hopefully I can find more Ridgeline owners who are interested getting together with others. I know there are a lot in our area. I am going to see if the local dealerships will sponser me, like Lehigh Valley Honda. :D

StoneRidge07 09-03-2007, 04:58 PM Hey Pizza man how did you get some of your contributing sponsers? I think i may ask the place were I bought my truck to be a site. They do have a pretty big area. The only other question i have is in which way do I go about asking about this?
JHRTL 09-04-2007, 09:32 AM I would really be interested in comming to a Lehigh valley meet!!! A couple of ideas of where to meet are:
Hawk Mountain (http://www.hawkmountain.org/index.php?pr=Home_Page);
lehigh valley Zoo (http://www.lvzoo.org/)
Leaser lake (http://www.fish.state.pa.us/water/lakes/leaser/00leaser.htm)
StoneRidge07 09-04-2007, 03:45 PM JHRTL I am stuck between Leasure Lake and Hawk mountain. I have never been to either but I checked out the pics and they both have wonderdful scenery. If the other members want to take a look just open the websites posted. I am leaning more towards Hawk Mountain, but I would like all of your input. Thank you to all ROCers invovled.:D

StoneRidge07:
From a newbe on the block, Hawk Mountain sounds like a very good place. It's only a 1 1/2 hour drive for me from where I live and late October will enable us to caught the fall colors of the foilage. In addition, it looks like some good hiking trails. Sounds like a GREAT day to me - a chance to meet other Ridgeliners, a little hiking and a chance to get on the open road with my new baby [I pick her up at the end of June & I'm still breaking her in.]
StoneRidge07 09-24-2007, 05:14 PM End of October it is then. I am looking at oct 27th @ 10:00 or 11:00am. That would give us time to meet and Hike. Let me know what everybody thinks and I will see everybody there. Please let me know who will be there and I will post a list of how many people are coming. Thanks for all the input fellow ROCers.

07blackridge 10-26-2007, 06:53 PM Hey,
I finally picked up my new 2007 black RTS today, It was quite an ordeal after the dealer sold my RTX, and had to find me another 2007. What a truck! I gave up the 2004 Fx4 F150 for the ridgeline and it rides like a really really nice car.
I'll be installing rear mud flaps in the morning, which is kind of silly.
I think I will not make the meet unless it rains, I have a tee time in Easton. Maybe I'll run into some of you around Morris county.
Jim
So who is in?
I am 50/50 right now....I looked it up for me... 3:32 to the sanctuary from my door

Pizza Man 10-27-2007, 12:24 PM Tbird brought up lunch, are we brown bagging,or does anyone have any other ideas ??? Sioney ???
In my case, lunch is pretty much a decision I'll make while I'm there. Generally if I eat breakfast, I don't eat lunch. I'm also not exactly sure how long Jeanette and I will stay. It pretty much depends on how cold and windy it'll be. Once Jeanette gets cold it all over! :o :D
Pizza Man 10-27-2007, 12:24 PM You called?
You considering meeting us?
SpartanML 10-27-2007, 01:52 PM Maybe, maybe not. Still getting things planned out.
Pizza Man 10-27-2007, 02:32 PM You need a plan??
Here's one, set your alarm for 6 AM, get up, hop in the shower, get ready and leave around 7 AM, stop at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee and hit the road and be at the Cracker Barrel by around 9 AM. :D
Just joking, Mike. It would be great to see you again and introduce you to the wife!

Pizza Man 10-27-2007, 06:16 PM Hey Fred, I was just outside catching a smoke and was wondering if you were going to surprise us tomorrow. I come back in, check out the ROC and there's your post. Eerie!

Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 04:09 AM Have a safe journey, everyone.
StoneRidge07 10-28-2007, 06:06 AM see you soon guys I am leaving around 8am.
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 03:14 PM We're back, ate an early dinner (Mandy was starved) and my body is sore. The rock climbing was as much fun as it was punishing! :D Everything from my waist down to my tooties is screaming for advil.
StoneRidge07, John, picked an excellent location for a Meet. The weather was perfect, Cabela's was a true experience. I took about 50 photo's as soon as I go through them and resize the good ones, I'll post them.
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 03:58 PM Here's the first of my photos. The 1st is of the Ridgeline line up in Cabela's parking lot. The 2nd is a sculpture in front of the store, The 3rd and 4th is what we referred to as the dead zoo. Stuffed animals on display inside Cabela's. The last is of a very low flying Piper also inside Cabela's
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 04:08 PM I hope this photo shows up well. I was able to take three photos and stitch them together for a panoramic view of the valley. This is from one of the many lookout points up on Hawk Mountain. I sometimes forget just how beautiful Pennsylvania scenery can be.
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 04:27 PM A few more photos. The 1st is of Andrew (63Tbird) and Grace. A fun and talented couple. We really enjoy their company. My G-Daughter, Mandy fell in love with Grace. The next is of a special look-out point made specifically for looking at me. :D
mdwalls 10-28-2007, 04:30 PM Packed alot in half a day. Nice to see old friends. Seems like we just saw you all. And meeting new people at these meets has been fun. Suzanne and I had a good time, but wow do we hurt. I can't wait to see what 4:15 brings. Bud
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 05:02 PM I have to agree, Bud. It's always good to see you and Suzanne and Dan and Marge and the rest of the original Cape May crowd. Today a lot of new Ridgeline friends were made. It was a pleasure to meet Keith and Holly, John and Mike. I was able to spend a little time with JerseyRidge and Beth this morning, but I lost sight of them and the boys once we got to Cabela's :(
mdwalls 10-28-2007, 05:44 PM Thanks to JHRTL for the Hawk Mountain idea and Charlie35 for for the Cracker Barrel idea. I believe Ondalinks Dan suggested Cabela's. What a neat place. Mandy is a real cutie, Joe.
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 06:22 PM So what happened to JHRTL and Charlie35? They missed a good time! :(
ONDLINKS 10-28-2007, 06:35 PM A very nice day indeed! Thanks John for getting this started. It was a pleasure meeting you along with Keith, Mike and Joe & Jeanette's G-daughter Mandy. A sweetie for sure!
To lazy to pick out pics, so here's the whole deal.

mdwalls 10-28-2007, 06:52 PM Very nice pictures, Marge. Suzanne and I missed the North Lookout. We took the "Express Trail" back to the gift shop. Bud
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 06:54 PM Very nice, Dan. I enjoy Marge's handiwork with the camera!
It was great to start meeting the northeast crew. Even though you all didn't make the national meet in St. Louis or meet the ROC'rs along the Gulf Coast, this much I know is true: all ROC'rs are great people to be around.
I made it back a while ago, but am pretty beat up. I'll try to get my photos up by tomorrow night
Pizza Man 10-28-2007, 06:59 PM I was hoping you would post when you got home tonight, it's good to know you guys made it home safely. We'll be looking for your photos tomorrow!

mdwalls 10-29-2007, 03:46 AM Great pics, Keith. Wow, were my ankles stiff today. :(
Charlie35 10-29-2007, 06:40 AM So what happened to JHRTL and Charlie35? They missed a good time! :(
Pizza Man:
I don't know about JHRTL but I couldn't move Sunday morning as I hurt my back Saturday working on fixing up me garage. :( Cann't have a new truck and a messed up garage.
The photos look great and everyone having fun, nice turnout. Looks like I missed out on a good day of hiking, an opportunity to get some great photos and meet some fellow Ridgeliners. Not to mention a chance to stop by Cabela's right there in Hamburg. My only problem with stopping by Cabela's is that I've never been able to leave one of their stores empty handed.

I know exactly what you mean. Everyone left for the mountain while I was still shopping! :D Next time, Charlie!
63Tbird 10-29-2007, 07:04 AM Everyone's pics are Great! Here's a few more.
63Tbird 10-29-2007, 07:47 AM Well what can you say. When these Northeast ROC's get together it's always a good day. It was nice to meet some new people and put the faces to the names, as they say, only wish I had had more time to talk with everyone. These meets go so fast. I know Mike, JerseryRidge, and the family where there, but I hardly had a chance to talk, sorry about that Mike.:) Keith, John, Mike, nice to meet you and hope we meet again at the next one. Keith, hope you made it across the bridge without to much traffic. Joe & Jeanette, you can bring Mandy to every meet, she was a joy to have along.
Also, really nice pick for a day meet. Thanks for everyone's input. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. We're going to have to get some of you, and you know who you are, out more often to take a walk. 'Fresh Air Poisoning' can kill ya, you know! lol :D

I had to chain smoke three cigarettes to get that "Fresh Air" crap out of my lungs. Feet still hurt! :o
63Tbird 10-29-2007, 08:14 AM THAT"S THE SPIRIT!, Way to go, Joe! :D :D :D lolololol
ridgelinef4i 10-29-2007, 09:00 AM Thank you guys for putting together a great meet. It was a pleasure to meet some fellow ROC'ers. I will try to get my pictures up as soon as I can.
Pizza Man 10-29-2007, 09:12 AM I will try to get my pictures up as soon as I can.
Hey Mike, I know you took a group shot just before we left for home. I'd like to see that one for sure. It was a pleasure to meet you, I hope to see you at another Meet soon.
mdwalls 10-29-2007, 09:33 AM I'm sure glad I quit smoking. Although the extra 50 or so pounds didn't help.:(
DoubleL 10-29-2007, 02:47 PM We passed your caravan coming home from sons football game on Hawk Mountain road right before the Sunoco on Route 143, I guess it was about 3pm ... did you see us wave :D . LOL Ridgeliner owner from Albany township, Kempton PA.

ridgelinef4i 10-29-2007, 04:08 PM DoubleL - sure did. I was following my gps to get back to 78 and looked up to see another Dark Cherry going the other way then I thought...wow he's really late.

Damn, I missed that. I was still looking up for that elusive Northern Goshhawk. Guess I had a better chance of spotting Tweety Bird. :D
I miss a meet & more Redrocks & Dark Cherrys come out to play.
StoneRidge07 10-29-2007, 07:35 PM I must say, my wife (Melissa) and I had the time of our life. It was a pleasure meeting all of you. I just hope everybody wasn't to sore lol! I have many picture that I am getting together as of know. I will post of few of them and then put the rest up on a link. The picture of Bald outlook will always stick with me (great time). I look foward to meeting you all again soon. Melissa and I felt this was like a family we always had but just hidden. Once again I hope all of our soreness will soon be gone. Joe I was wondering in the future since you are pretty close if you would like to help me install a Retrax if I purchase one in the near future? I am going to get these pics going.

Absolutely John. In fact, I'm sure ONDLINKS (Dan) would love to lend a hand. He helped me with mine so we're a couple of old pros at it.
Jeanette and I had a good time yesterday. Our g-daughter is still asking to look at the photos. I'm glad you suggested having the Meet, it turned out perfectly and the timing was perfect. Now that you have a Meet under your belt I expect to see you and Melissa at the next one. We're kicking around a few ideas for the Spring, so stay tuned.
Pizza Man 10-29-2007, 08:05 PM I miss a meet & more Redrocks & Dark Cherrys come out to play.

Sorry guys I just download three more off of the wife's camera. Great back end shots of the ridges at Cabelas.
