I'm getting 18.6MPG in mixed city/highway in my 2008 RTX. The first 5K, I was only averaging 14 - 15 MPG.

I Just Calculated It And Im Now In Shock!!!!!! This Is All City Miles No Highway Driving At All The Car Has Not Been On Cruise And I Do Drive The Car A Little Hard!!! Ready For This???? 16.9592 Mpg!!!!!!! Thats All City!!!!!!!!!!!! This Is Better Mileage Then My Nissan Murano Got!!!!!

Rakapur, I'm just wondering.....why do you capitalize every word in a sentence? Makes it kinda hard to read. But if that's your style, have at it. And hey, if you're getting 17 mpg with all city driving, you're doing great. Thanks for sharing your gas mileage info. And if you don't mind a VERY friendly suggestion, lay off the CAPS on every word. Just my thoughts...and I'm just one person out here reading. :)

i put it on caps lock and for some reason it just did it to the first letter or every word, i dont know if that happens to you guys, maybe its cause im using an macbook
im so happy with the mileage im getting the car only has 300 or 400 miles on it and if this is what im getting right now i cant wait to see what happens once the engine breaks in at 600 miles

according to the scan gauge and my calcs I'm getting 19.8 city and 21.00 highway !
with the bed cover on

The forum software has an override when typing in all caps. It capitalizes the first letter of every word. This is a fairly recent development as I remember Sully used to type in all caps and it was posted that way.

For the first 1,000 miles I would list mine at 14/23!!

I'm just inching up on 4,000 miles on my '08 RTL, and I've never gotten less than 20.3 on the highway. Even with a full load of gear and running the A/C at 70 mph. (My highest mpg was 25.5) The new EPA standards are geared to more "real world driving", and are based on the fact that most people are pretty lead-footed. If you drive sanely, you'll usually get 1-3 mpg better than the EPA ratings. If you drive like most people, you'll get mostly what the EPA says you'll get....or lower.

I'm going to lease a new 2008 Ridgeline RTL in the next couple of days in the Los Angeles area. Wanted to get your feedback on this lease that I negotiated.

2008 Ridgeline RTL, NO Nav.
3 year, 12k miles, $2400 down including all taxes, registration, fees, etc. and monthly payments of 280 including tax.

Is there more room to go?

:p We are new owners of the 2008 Honda Ridgeline RTS. It's only 3 months old and we have over 11,000 miles on it. I'm happy to report we're getting EPA of 18/26 mph. Our Ridgeline took us to Oklahoma City, OK; Branson, MO; home again; on the road again to LaCrosse, WI; Montana; South Dakota; Wyoming; then home again. We keep the gauge at 67 mph on the highway.

Im getting about 18 city and about 24 hwy.

my RL's run 11mpg or in liters it's 20 liter for 100km... it's ugly for this power... My boss ran is H2 hummer with 12mpg and is H1 10 mpg...

I look to get a bigger truck for less gas then now...

something wrong? it's not city or highway, it's road normal 90km/h in the country were i live...

My RTL's been somewhat of a concern in regards to MPG's. Granted the weather has been a factor and I've only got about 2K miles on it, but the best I have gotten on Hwy is 15.9 mpg, and I'm getting 13-14 in the city.

I'm hoping this improves with the break in and the addition of a bed cover, but I cant see how mine will ever hit the mid 20's that some of the other ROC members are getting unless I put a sail on it and drive down wind.

Otherwise I love the new ride, it actually fits in my garage without having to park at an angle and I can back out of a parking spot w/out having to make a 4 point turn (unlike my old Chevy Avalanche).

Not sure if this is the right place to put it but, I was quoted $21,888.00 for a2008 RT at Valley Hi Honda in Victorville, Ca. That was his internet price just in case anyone is thinking about getting an 08. I just happen to be pricing 2009s & he wanted to get rid of his 08 models. That price included destination charges & nothing else is added on except tax & license. I am still looking at the 09 maybe a 2010 model. The 08 wont do it for me. His name is Brian Santos.
