crazyucihapa 02-03-2005, 01:50 PM i like the bold new look of the grill. its different and unique like everything else on tihs truck.
i dont think ill be getting any billete grill or anything when i get mine
1manparty 02-03-2005, 03:08 PM I like the style of the grill but not the chrome finish. I havn't been into the chrome on any of my cars. Just me...
Administrator 02-03-2005, 04:58 PM I would not be surprised to see custom grills come out for the RL. I haven't heard anything from Cloud Rider (http://www.cloud-rider.com/) yet but I should hear something soon. They sell a lot of custom grills. A whole lot...
I like the looks of the stock grill. But, I will take a look at whatever is offered in the aftermarket arena.
ridgelinerollin 02-03-2005, 07:05 PM Is the grill made of plastic?
jab_od 02-03-2005, 08:01 PM More like the bed material, "composite" plastic, I'm sure... :p

Honda is going to offer a different grille as an accessory ....from what i have seen its more of an egg crate design.
80honda 02-22-2005, 10:13 AM http://www.collegehillshonda.com/ridgeline/06_exterior.htm
Listed there with installation instructions are several exterior add ons. Including a different grill.
Hmmm, I still like the looks of the stock grill. I can't really tell until I see both in person.
I'll bet that both grills are plastic. I used to have an Infiniti FX45 and the 'chrome' grill on that vehicle was just plastic.
Robyn5050 02-22-2005, 12:26 PM The aftermarket grill is "chrome plated" plastic. It is a honeycomb design. I like the original grill better.

Thanks for the picture. I think I will be sticking with the stock grill for now.
vertrkr 02-25-2005, 01:06 PM I plan to install that big bumper guard and with that on I think the stock grill will just have too much chrome up front so I'll get the replacement grill so it looks like this picture. Otherwise I'd stay with the stock grill.
I may install the bumper guard as well. I see your point about chrome overload. Hmmm, I am going to have to think about this one for a bit.
nwdiver 02-25-2005, 01:56 PM What's the bumper guard made out of? Will it have to be painted?
Heinrich 03-05-2005, 12:41 PM I have to say I really like the "optional" grill replacement. If you want to see what the vehicle looks with the original grill verses the "optional" grill use the honda configuration right off honda.com. It kind of gives you an idea...personally it the replacement grill makes it look more truck like.
I saw a Ridgeline yesterday that had the stock grill and the brush guard andf I liked it. The optional grill is nice but I am going to stick with the stocker for now.
.
The optional grill has more openings ..... better air flow and a cleaners look .
Can the optional grill and other items be factory installed ?
.
Heinrich 03-06-2005, 03:45 PM I love the optional grill, but it is only a dealer install and more than likely will stay that way for both Honda and the dealers sake. The grill is a bit expensive at around $500 plus labor....Not sure how much dealers in other areas are charging to install it. I got my installed with a package of accessories and bargained a total labor cost for everything together, which saved me around $600!
GEEK1 03-09-2005, 04:11 PM I got the accessory grille. It makes the truck look more aggressive.
tonyboo3 03-30-2005, 12:36 AM I THINK THE STOCK GRILL SHOULD BE THE AFTERMARKET GRILL I LOVE IT..
Marcus 04-04-2005, 09:00 AM Here is what I'm looking at getting plus the fog lights.
Hope it looks good in person and not cheesy!

RF4B Driver 09-17-2006, 06:49 AM Wow, got the accessory grille and bumper guard. Had black part of bumper guard painted to match the truck. Impressive

Since I got an RTX, the accessory grille is the "factory grille" for me. I like it better than the RT/RTS/RTL grille, but like everything it's a matter of taste. I think it looks more truck-like.
When I first laid eyes on a Ridgeline, my dealer had five or six early-issue '06s on the lot. One had the "accessory grille" & I made a point then to ask about it. So when the RTX trim line came out, I was pretty tickled with what Honda decided to put on it.
