To the disappointment by my own self.....as i was Wishing and hoping to be there this year and meet up with old and new Roc friends....i will not be able to make it!! Since taking on a new position at my job, i now have some perks, but the negatvie portion about this job would be Being in Charge more often. Being Second in command of a retail store has its rewards, but definally has its drawbacks! I was really looking forward into the meet this year! My Boss decided to take a vacation on that week of the meet. Therefore, i must stay and work! DOH!! Please post all the pics as i woul dhave done so for those who were not able to make it as well. Hope to see some of you in a Future meet some where, some time! Until then, Sorry to disappoint, but things happen and sometimes that sucks!

Still, ROC ON!!
Cal Roc'ers!

Where is everyone, I hope that the five that voted yes are not the only ones to come to the meet. Last year there were 15 of us and it was a blast. This year should be great. If you want a jar of salsa, you have to come to the meet. Later today I will try and pm and e-mail those that live in the bay area, I found over 40 rl owners within 70 miles of the center part of the bay area, it is an easy drive for them. I am driving the 350 plus miles there on Friday the 28th. Lets make this the meet of all meets. Vote, vote, vote yes. No's are unexceptable:p

I sent e-mail reminders to 32 members in the northern cal section about the meet and the times. I did not send any to the southern cal group since I figured that Tony probably did already. The only one in my area of Northern Cal was Vintner. My list is: Tommy, hawaiiridgeline, North Fork Ridge, Skychicken, 12VoltRidgeline, Spritegeezer, hoyt, Lupo911, STEVE FROST. weelin. bbnmcas, RidgeLoco, Zombie_61, shortykrn, schwejo, cherman4, Forrest, ANT2KNEE, Patinod, mtech, roadkillcook, sk8fool, Nick, Cool Rider, Monkeymaker, vertrkr, Jay, Vintner, Morwooddj, onegr8ridgeline, Br_y_n and C25A1guy. Now my fingers are tired, it took me over four hours to research and do the e-mails. Phew!!:)

Yes, thanks I got the email. Unfortunately wont be able to attend, but I appreciate the email. Yesterday I saw 3 other Ridgelines during the hour I was out for lunch. Thats the most I’ve seen in such a short time. Last week I also came home and my wife had a girlfriend over that she hadn’t seen in a while and imagine my surprise when I got home to find a similar steel blue Ridgeline already in my parking spot. It was pretty funny, thought maybe I was hallucinating for a moment.

Hi Kahnartist! I'll meet you guys at the summit by 830am and convoy to SC parking lot like we did last year. I haven't been able to make a reservation for the train either so I might take you up on that offer with the $2 discount. If you have enough people already, no problem, I'll just buy from the station before we board. Thanks and see you then!

I just finished my last batch of salsa, twelve 16 oz jars and three 1 qt jars of mild and eight 16 oz jars of Habanero hot salsa. The habanero should be super hot, at least it smells like it is. I have lost track of how much I have made this year, but it is something like 150 cups of salsa in mild, medium, hot and super hot. I got the tomatoes from my friend Pam like I did last year and I got the peppers from the same man at the farmers market that I bought them from last year. Who is up for the habanero super hot salsa?

Don't mean to join the bandwagon but I was just notified by my supe this morning that my timeoff request for Sat has been cancelled due to manpower shortage and I happen to have the least seniority at my workplace. So sorry to miss this event that i've been looking forward to :( . I hope to make it to the next NorCal or All Cal meet next year. Have fun in Santa Cruz!

I am definately still on for the meet. Today after I work for my accountant, she is going to take me to the casino and fill up my truck with premium off of her free $2,500 free gas that she won, she is also going to fill my three gas cans with another 16 gallons of gas. My gas there and back is already taken care of with no cost to me. WooHoo!!:D

After going through the threads about this meet it appears that we have Khanartist, mulduker, Toobuku, Twintym, kanji, dsowell, mwarren2, Phil, bbnmcas and myself appearing for the meet with a tentative from bongus and tihstae. Last year there were some that made it to Santa Cruz, but missed the meet. Also there were more that showed up then then had said they were in a poll. Last years totol was 15, I am hoping for more this year. I am leaving here at 5:00 am on Friday morning and am camping out at Henry Cowell State Park Friday and Saturday nights, heading for home early on Sunday morning. Three days to go for me and four for the meet.:)

Eleven of us, maybe nine showing up. I hope that that is not all. Well, we can spread the fun out amongst us that make it and send our happy thoughts to those who cannot . I will do my best to take many pictures and post them here when I get home. We will miss all of those who do not make it.

I e-mailed over 40 members and Toobuku pm'd at least 30, we still have the potential of it becoming a large meet.

I will be there with my family. We have reservations at the Travelodge on Ocean St again. We have train tix also.
I guess this will mean more salsa for those of us that are going. :D
Looks like maybe half of what last year was.:(

I check weather.com daily and have 5 other cities as my favorites and Santa Cruz is one of them. Last year when I left for the meet it was rainy/drizzly here and ended up at 72 in Santa Cruz. This morning when I checked the site it is forecast to be rainy here and 71 for Saturday and Sunday in Santa Cruz, just like last year. It has been in the upper 60's and low 70's here for the past few weeks, so to me it will be nice and warm in Santa Cruz, I will definately have to wear short pants this time. I am used to the cool to warm humid atmosphere here and if it is much warmer, I start to perspire.:o . I have my fingers crossed that we will have a good turnout. I will post here before I leave tomorrow morning at 5:00 am:eek: . I have primed myself over the past week by getting up earlier each morning, I got up before 5 this morning when Chelsea barked to tell that the newspaper was delivered.:)
