I ordered Westin Platinum bars a week ago. According to Fedex online tracking, they left Pennsylvania, to Toledo, down to Georgia yesterday. Hmmmm, their final destination is Michigan, seems Georgia is a little bit out of the way!
They have a system and they follow it. When it got close, you should have called them and said you'd be down to pick it up.

I had one company ship a part from Tennessee to Oregon (I live in Houston, Tx). It took me a month to get them to cancel the order and another two to refund my money. They never could get the shipment rerouted. Needless to say they will get no more business from me.

Question, Are westin platinum side steps better than buying the OEM pair from honda (meaning will they stand up better/last longer than the OEM)? I am looking into purchasing a pair. Do you have a good website to look at?

I liked the look of the Westins so that's what I ordered, can't tell ya' anything about the Honda models. I'm getting the PLATINUM model, which is a stainless steel tube either black coated or chrome. Not sure about the black, but the chrome are supposed to have a "lifetime warranty". I ordered the chrome and figure with that and stainless underneath, it will be as resistant as possible to all that rust inducing salt we endure on the winter roads.
BTW, the steps showed up today, with no mounting brackets or hardware:(
I made a phone call and was assured the brackets should have been there and will be sent ASAP. I was really looking forward to installing them today when I saw that FedEx truck pull in the driveway!

If you don't mind, what did you pay for the Westins? I have a set of chrome Platinum's on order for $395 & free shipping. That was the best deal I could find after searching the web.

I paid 410.00 with free shipping. Guess ya' outdid me by 15.00:)
Most places I looked were closer to 450-460 so I guess we both did alright!
Of course I don't have brackets and hardware to mount them yet.....

I bought and just received the new Westin Oval2 (http://www.westinautomotive.com/) side steps. There is no direct link to them, you'll need to find them on the Westin site after you click on the provided link. It's easy to find. I paid $412, which included shipping. I ordered the polished stainless. Same lifetime warranty as their platinum series.
Hopefully, I can get them installed before the Long Island Meet this weekend.

Did you install these Oval2s? How close do they fit? Are the step pads recessed into the ovals? Pics please pics...
Thanks

Yes, the Oval2's have been installed since mid-October. They use the same mounting brackets as the Platinum Series, so my answer is they are as close to the body as the Platinum Nerfs.
The step pad is not recessed into the ovals. The step pads are fastened to the bars with the step molded into the pad.
These photos are the best I can do in the dark.
