: ROC Decal - sneak peek and color interest

Below is a sample of what the new ROC decal will look like. This is not the final color, but instead just a bright color used to demonstrate the curves and cuts so you can see how nice this will look. I'm planning to order a bunch of these in chrome because that's easily the hottest-selling color. Is there also interest for white or can we get by with just the chrome?

Let me know what you guys think. I want to place the order asap. Thanks!

I am interested in decals and shirts.

T-shirts will look fantastic. We may look into embroidered down the road when we get bigger since they cost so much more to print up.

Are the decals going to be static stick type with Silver letters and mountains on clear background for use in the rear window??

Hey T... Im with JCH. just curiouse what type of decals. I love the design.
I deffinately want to put something on the back window. I have a line up of stickers as it is but have not put any on untill i know everything i want on. Kawasaki for my bikes. Fire Fighters Union sticker. And of course the ridgeline owners club decal!
Color??? i may have to put a vote in for white... im trying to get a red and white decal scheme going, what with the Kawa, and fire fighter logos. Plus the seasonaly changeable Red Sox/Patriots logos!
As far as T Shirts... ABSOLUTELY. but only if they come in "big boy" sizes. Id need at LEAST a 2XL but preferably a 3XL. Otherwise it will only hang on my wall, not on my back!
But thanks for getting to these. Cant wait to see some final products. If i may suggest Black T shirts, with White ROC Logos, and of course a red rock pearl RL on the back!! (id be proud to be the model... not me, my Ridge!)
Keep us posted!

I love the idea of a sticker but not if it is static cling that goes on the inside of the window. I have my favorite football team's logo (I'll let you guess which team) on my back window. You can barely see it through the tinted windows.

Sheniferous
07-20-2005, 08:28 PM
if it's anything like our EOC stickers (which they probably are) they're not going to be static cling vinyl stickers. they're die-cut stickers that adhere to the exterior of the vehicle!

T Mac
07-20-2005, 08:36 PM
As my friend, Shen, points out... these are high-quality, die-cut vinyl decals. They go on in a two-part process. First, you remove the backing to the decal. Then, you apply the decal face down on your glass. You rub and rub and rub the vinyl onto the glass so it is firmly applied. Then, you slowly remove the top sheet and the only thing that remains is the color on the glass (as shown in the pic in the first post). They are very sharp, I promise you. No static anything.

As for the t-shirts, here's what we normally do and it works out great...
We open up an order period of about 3 weeks. You can tell me exactly what size and color you want (colors from a color chart I provide). Then, we close the orders and we place one big custom group order w/ our print shop. Within about 10 days, they get our shirts back to us - just as you ordered - and we then ship them out to you. This keep us from stocking anything, ordering only one color, etc.

Nothing but the best! ;)

Thanks for the feedback, gang! Keep it up!

T Mac,

How about the ROC logo on baseball caps as well? It would also look great lasered onto the opposite side of the ridgeline brushed stainless steel travel mug and pen and pencil sets. I'd like to engrave your logo onto my billet aluminum pre-production door sills and rear bumper step plates too. How about trailer Hitch Covers?? Sorry, I get way too carried away sometimes. :D

Chrome Decal - Yes!! :D
T-Shirt - Yes (prefer long sleeve and embroidered) :)

I am willing to pay more for this preference. I have enough short sleeve shirts and most of my long sleeve ones have "Honey Do List" stains on them. I also would like embroidered since they last longer...........just like our Ridgelines will. ;)

I'll need at lease two chrome decals.

As far as the T-shirts go, I tend to like the type that have a small logo on the front left top, and then have a large graphic on the center of the back of the shirt. Just an idea though!

Ok TMac, count me in. I'd take a sticker and prefer white on the back tinted window but if you promise that Chrome looks good I can go with it. I just prefer the more definite contrast of the white on black.

Regarding the tee shirts I'd have to agree with Ebone, " I tend to like the type that have a small logo on the front left top, and then have a large graphic on the center of the back of the shirt." I wear tee shirts as much as possible, it's a comfort thing. Not sure I'd be as excited if there's a large graphic splattered all over the front. I love my Ridge but I don't want to look like a Ridgeline super hero, with all the attention I get just driving I'd be afraid they might start asking for autographs (not).

Any text going to be added to the tee shirts or stickers? Logo and web site are probably enough. Just wondering if we could come up with something catchy. Not necessary, just a thought.

Conclusion, count me in for at least one of each. Depending on the shirt I may get two.

Should be getting the decals in ANY DAY now and when I do, I'll open up the order form using PayPal.

We'll take open orders for the decals 24/7...

As for the t-shirts...we'll open up an order process for those in about two weeks and we'll take orders for 2-3 weeks, place one big custom group order, then wait for the shirts to arrive...then we ship everything out to you. So, shirts take a while longer to get in your hands but it's well worth it and we don't have to keep one single color in stock. I'd rather you got just what you want. ;)

Any chance you'll take personal checks from loyal ROC members? I refuse yo use PayPal after they screwed up my checking account a couple of years ago, debiting my checking account for another PayPal member's purchase. What a fiasco it was to straighten that out.

They are going to be awesome on all our trucks. Once again I need to ask for a PayPal alternative. I don't see if you answered the previous requester's post. Can we have a snail mail version so we can send you a check? It's even OK if you want to make sure it clears before you send any merchandise out. I just don't use PayPal. We have lots of chrome because that's easily the best seller so I stocked up on it. I didn't sense much interest in white for the ROC decal so I didn't order much but after filling orders last night, I can see the interest is higher than I thought. That's the only quantity issue I have and it's not even really an issue because I'll probably have more in stock before I run out.

We finally ordered a ROC decal and now just went through this thread interested in where people mounted them on their windows. I also recall reading a post sometime about trying to "standardize" on the ROC decal location on the truck.
Couple of questions,

1) It looks like many people located them high on the rear window. Does it interfere at all with your view? (particularly on the passenger side)
2) It appears the decal mounts on the exterior of the glass. Is this correct?

3) Has anyone removed it and relocated it? How did that go?

I was planning on mounting mine behind the passenger headrest but I'm wondering if it will be visible there due to the frame of the bed.
May need to relocate my Patriots sticker now :)
(it's barely visible throught the tinted glass anyway - These "inside cling stickers" don't work well with our rear windows)

I mounted mine behind the passenger headrest. I didn't want to take up any more precious window space. Plus I like the look there. I can't imagine that this logo would move since it has a lot of little details that aren't on a single sheet (this is a die cut logo).

The sticker is a one time deal if you put on in the wrong place it is stuck there. As for removing it use a razor blade and some windex to get it off. The sticker is applied from the out side of the glass.

One other quick install tip. I placed logo on the window in a couple of different places with blue tape. Once I decided I got my wifes hair dryer out to heat up the window 1st and then again with the label on, before pulling off the paper. Rub the decal throughly and hit it with the hair dryer again, this will help to ensure some of the smaller details come of the paper correctly.

My sticker is nicely bonded to the window now.

Rub the decal throughly and hit it with the hair dryer again, this will help to ensure some of the smaller details come of the paper correctly.

My sticker is nicely bonded to the window now.

Maryfielh great tip sounds like you have done this befor. Where I live it realy isnt needed to heat the window or vehicle up when putting on stickers or graphics.

Thanks!

I am having trouble opening your order link. I want to order a chrome ROC decal. Please advise

Blue, silver or white. I don't believe chrome is offered anymore.
Check the HONDA CLUB STORE in the blue banner @ the top of the page.
