mbintx 09-10-2007, 03:25 PM That's right. It look me 6 tries before I could eke out 300 miles on a single tank. Put in almost 20 gallons. My driving is 90% city, 10% highway, and mileage has ranged from a worst of 12.5 mpg to a best of 14.5 mpg.
Trust me, I'm not a leadfoot--at least in the Ridge. In fact, I've been driving slower than usual just to see if I can get the mileage above 15 mpg. With my mostly city driving, I can't see it happening. It's very disappointing. I know folks say the mileage increases with miles driven, but I just can't see how it will get 10% + better.
I do drive with the AC on most of the time, but still it's disappointing.
shovelhd 09-10-2007, 03:53 PM Do you have 10K miles on it yet? If not then forget about your mileage until you reach that milestone.
curiousgb 09-10-2007, 05:12 PM Maybe I am just lucky. I got over 300 on my fourth fill up, about 1200 miles. I purposely drove it hard with ac, just to see what the mileage would be, it was 16.5.
CUinaRidge 09-10-2007, 06:53 PM RL hates the city
90% city, 10% highway
RL loves the highway
:)
Try pumping your tires up to 38-40PSI, it's over the recommended max but it should be ok since almost all your driving is at city speeds. I've been keeping mine at 36PSI cold from day 1 and at least half my 30K miles to date are highway miles and the tires still look almost new, no abnormal wear. As for MPG, best was 22.1, worst was 17.5, average is 19.8. I've seen about a .5 MPG improvement since reaching 10K. I drive with the climate control in Auto almost all the time. I'm not a leadfoot but I get up to speed pretty quickly and do 70-75MPH on the highway when conditions allow it.
Go for a road trip to a destination about 100 miles away by highway, you should get at least 18MPG. If you don't then I would suspect your truck has a defect (dragging brakes, faulty sensor or chip, etc.).

I drive just like you...I live 7 minutes from work and its mostly to and from work only and some light around town on the weekends. I am usually right around 300 miles to a tank as well...I have 4500 miles.
Cajun Country Ridgeline 09-10-2007, 09:05 PM Just enjoy your Ridge and drive normal.
I have over 28,000 on my Ridge and intown driving is a mess. Sometimes I make as low as 13.75mpg, but this week on a fillup, I made 15.75mpg.
On the Hwy I get consistantly over 22mpg and on a trip in August I had a high of 23.6mpg. That is at interstate speeds in SW La. with a little bit of hills going north.
I quit worrying about it and just enjoy the Ridgeline for the great ride that it provides.:D

I do just that...I love the RL and as long as I can make my car payment and afford to keep the tank full it's all good.
mbintx 09-11-2007, 08:02 AM I'm not "worrying." It's not like I'm going to sell/trade the truck because I'm not getting better mileage. Other than this issue, I think the Ridge is great. I'm merely posting my "real world" experience.

The biggest "hot button" for Honda officials and owners alike is Ridgeline mileage. It brings everyone out of the woodwork. ;) Don't believe me? Do a simple search on "mileage" and see what happens. Almost crashes the server. So if you wish to post real world experience like me, expect all kinds of comments. :)

WOW! POPULAR TOPIC, HUH?
:D ;)
shovelhd 09-11-2007, 10:48 AM Amazing, ain't it?

The counter could be slowed down considerably if there was a sticky gas mileage topic at the top of the appropriate forums, which has "READ THIS FIRST" in the title, and Gary's gas mileage comments inside.
k1dude 09-14-2007, 11:55 AM mbintx, you may have lost the mileage lottery with your vehicle.
I posted this a few weeks ago in another thread, but I'll resurrect it here for your info. This is from my personal experience:
"I found out through experience with Hondas that the mpg of the same model will vary widely regardless of driver habits. My first new Honda was an '89 Accord Coupe. I got between 28 and 36 mpg depending on usage. I had friends/acquaintances with the same car getting 22 to 26 mpg. Then I replaced the Accord with a new '97 CRV. I got 21 mpg regardless of how I drove. It could be fully loaded with people/gear and kayaks on top going uphill into the wind and it would get 21 mpg. It could be completely empty driving downhill with a tailwind and it would get 21 mpg. I could drive all highway or all city and it would get 21 mpg. I had a friend with the same vehicle and he would get 23 to 27 mpg. So on one 5 day road trip, we switched vehicles to see if it was our driving habits that made the difference. I wound up getting 23 to 27 mpg in his CRV and he wound up getting 21 mpg in mine. Driving habits had nothing to do with the difference. It was purely each individual vehicle."
wmwest74 09-15-2007, 01:38 PM I guess I got lucky in the lottery because I haven't gotten less than 300 miles to a tank from new and I'm only at 3300 miles...and that's with the light coming on and refilling with 17-18 gallons. The only time I got "bad" mileage is when I filled up with gas from Weigels in Knoxville that was "up to" 10% Ethanol. That stuff can really kill your mileage.
chisoxjim 09-15-2007, 01:55 PM My most recent tank has gotten me 400 miles, I think no a/c, and still using the summer gas blend has worked in my favor. Fuel light came on 20 miles ago, and I have run up to 60 miles with the fule light on without running out.
I am going to fill up this afternoon before my trip into Chicago tonight for a steak dinner.

I am seeing the same numbers. Bad in town:( , great on the road:) .
ToyTruck 09-16-2007, 09:19 PM Dayam mbintx.................I just towed and got the same mileage. 3000 lb 17' Hi-Lo and the worse I got was 13.2 and managed a high of 15.6 mpg. Most tanks were around 14.5 which is the best my 02 Dodge QuadCab 4.7 V-8 did doing nothing.
WillieT 09-18-2007, 03:21 AM took delivery 9/10... so far have gotten 15.09 mpg (city) first tank; 17.9 mpg (city) (second fill up); 18.5 mpg (city & highway) on third fillup and 21.4 mpg (interstate) on fourth fill up (I never let my gas tank go much below 1/2 tank before refilling!) VERY HAPPY!! :) :) (now have 876 miles on vehicle)
oldcoastie 09-18-2007, 07:34 AM Overall average of 17.4 for 8800 miles.
jackping 09-18-2007, 08:52 PM Do you have 10K miles on it yet? If not then forget about your mileage until you reach that milestone.
I have to agree, until mine hit 10,000, I didn't get very good mileage at all. I just got 19 mpg average with 30% city and 70% highway (75mph). I now have 12,600 miles and it seems to be hitting it's stride as far as gas mileage goes.
Webwader 09-18-2007, 09:13 PM My personal best is 488.3 miles on 19.029 gallons.
tbradnc 09-19-2007, 06:56 AM Hi -
Been lurking for a few days - just picked up my 07 RL RT last Friday and found this forum over the weekend.
Regarding mileage, I just did my first fill up and went 328 miles on 17.5 gallons - works out 18.742857142857142857142857142857 MPG. :-)
Kidding aside, I filled up just after the low fuel light came on and it only held the 17.5 gallons. Is that about right? Seems rather conservative...well, maybe not. I guess it just depends on where you are and how lucky you feel.
Thanks
Thomas
Had 1/4 tank of gas left and around 320 miles on my way to vegas from LA for my RT's brake-in (only up to 70-75mph). Guess this is good enough as I was assuming I would need to fill up before I hit the strip.
Went back on on a new full tank at an average 80-95mph and I still had 1/4 tank left. Didn't go into the computations, but these numbers are just fine with me :D
Greyhounds 09-25-2007, 01:20 PM Never had less than 350 miles per tank??? just passed over the 5K mark.
Our local dealer hosted a "new owner forum" for all of their new sales. the primary consumer topic was gas mileage not being what it was stated.
The service rep gave a partial true answer about how the mileage is determined...but it was interesting to hear that I'm getting better mileage than a new CRV.
Looking forward to that 10,000 mile magic. but mpg is relative to your perspective. Thus who cares...I just enjoy driving my RL....if I want high mileage, i'll drive my wifes 4cy.
flynfink 09-26-2007, 01:34 PM last tank (at 7500 miles) was 19.5 mixed use. using a/c most of the time.
Worst has been 16 (highway at mostly 80mph or more)
would love to break the 400 miles on a tank.
FWIW, my f150 with the 5.4l got very similar mileage and had a bunch more torque (but less refinement and worse ride and .....)
mbintx 09-27-2007, 03:47 PM I was fully prepared to live with less than great mileage, but to still not see better than 14.5 mpg (my best tank so far) is very disappointing. No matter what most of you are saying about better gas mileage with more miles on the odometer, there is just no way it will jump from 14 to 16 or 17 mpg a few months down the line. That's a 10-20% improvement, and that just won't happen.
I'll keep my mouth shut for now until I can get a tank with at least 30% highway mileage to see what changes I see...
Other than that, two thumbs up.
rzalone 09-30-2007, 03:58 PM I have consistently gotten between 420-450 miles per tank, after it had it's first oil change. Yes, I drive it awhile with the fuel light on- I know I'm taking my chances. Use the AC when it's hot, but otherwise leave it off. Haven't run out of fuel yet. I drive mainly highway, but there are always the local trips around town doing the "Honey-Do" list.
asmiths1 09-30-2007, 07:15 PM Hi everyone,
Still pretty new here, but my last fill-up was 14.9 gallons at 305 miles or 20.5mpg(75%highway/25%city). My trip this weekend from Western MD to Richmond was 201 miles on 8.5 gallons or 23.6mpg(90%highway/10%city)!!
My daily commute to work/home is 60%city/40%highway and I average 18.5mpg.
I have not averaged less than 18mpg and my best is now 23.6mpg. Pretty impressive.:D
mikeyinokc 10-01-2007, 10:38 AM We bought our RL about 6 weeks ago. It was a demo with just less than 6,000 miles on it, and it has had its first oil change. We have taken 4 short road trips (just less than 300 miles each) and we have yet to break 16 mpg.
Hope the 10,000 mile mark shows an improvement. Oh and did I say we love the Ridgeline.
meanmachine19 10-01-2007, 11:02 AM I've never gotten less than 325 on a tank without the light coming on. My best is 412 miles (with a/c on). I consistently get around 18.5 mpg, 43k miles later.
So I consider myself fortunate if others aren't doing as well. I don't live in a big city but do have altitude changes.
City vs. Hwy, environmental, tire pressure, driving habits are just a few things to take into account. At a rating of 16-21 mph, even city drivers should be getting 300+ per tank before the light comes on.
I get mpg that satisfies me since it is in between the rating.
Gaterzfan 10-11-2007, 07:24 AM Experienced approx 18.5 on first tank - combo city, interstate, and back roads.
cdepuydt 10-12-2007, 11:03 AM Well, for you folks in the northern climes...don't expect your MPG to rise the next few months, with the winter gas hitting the pumps. I average a full 2 MPG less on that winter crap.....
shovelhd 10-12-2007, 11:37 AM It's already here in MA. :(
chisoxjim 10-12-2007, 11:53 AM my mileage stays the same winter blend vs summer blend. The winter blend, and not using the a/c offset each other.
19 mpg year round.
par3773 10-12-2007, 01:06 PM Mine stays between 18 and 20 mpg here in Western New York, even with driving only 1 mile one way to work.
ToyTruck 10-12-2007, 01:09 PM Just hit 7,000 miles and I've noticed a slow improvement, mileage wise. A "low mpg tank" is 18.5 mpg while a great run nets 21.6 mpg (still with some in-town driving). Last tank was 20.6 mpg. However, over-enthusiastic throttle response really does suck that gas down
weatherman 10-12-2007, 06:27 PM The other day as I was loading up the RL, a fellow came up to me and asked me how well I liked my RL. His next question was 'what kind of mileage are you getting'? I told him depending on whether the A/C is on or not, around 13-15 around town and 19-21 on the highway. It turns out that he owns an '07 RL and around town he is only getting around 6 mpg, and not much better on the highway. He only has around 2-3K miles on it, and needless to say, he isn't a very happy camper. I mentioned the ROC site and that there was much to read about mpg there, and he was familiar with it. He has supposedly been to the dealership a couple of times to have it checked out, and apparently they can find no problem. I mentioned that many ROC members noticed a vast improvement in mileage when they got around 10K miles on their RL, and he said he didn't think he could wait that long. He was so pissed that he was seriously considering trading it off in the very near future, even if if it meant losing his butt on the deal. Too bad. Anyone ever heard of someone getting mileage this bad?
troutpoke 10-19-2007, 09:22 AM I bought the base RT model in October 2007. My mileage has also been around 16-18 in town and anywhere from 19-23 on the highway.
My best on one tank was 396, and that was when the gas light first came on. I was told yesterday by my local Honda dealer that when the light comes on that there is still 3-4 gallons of fuel left in the tank. So, I could have gone more miles on that tank of gas. Again, that was non-stop on the highway.
I was impressed!
18 to 20 mpg is the routine with mixed minimal highway and city driving:)
JonBoy 10-21-2007, 04:24 PM I just turned 17K miles on my 2006 RTS. I was getting 18 - 19 mpg, but now suddenly my mpg has dropped to 15 ...
I was using a K&N filter when I noticed the drop in MPG, I changed the air-filter back to the stock one, but still no change.
Anybody have any suggestions? (I check my tire pressure religously and I am not a lead foot!!)
VOLinGA 10-24-2007, 11:04 AM I'm just turning 2000 miles on my RTL and I am averaging exactly 15 mpg with every fill-up. I do 50% city and 50% hwy driving. I had a 2000 Accord EX V6 and it got terrible gas mileage until it reached 5000 miles. The dealer said that was typicall because the engine is tight and will get bad MPG until it breaks in around 5000 miles.:(
mikeyinokc 10-26-2007, 08:30 AM We bought a "demo" 07 RL in late August this year. It had a little over 5k miles on it when we bought it. We have about 8k on it now. The very best mileage we have gotten with it so far is 16.5 mpg. I hope it improves when we get around 10k on it.
Other than the mileage, we LOVE the truck......
usranger74 10-26-2007, 08:42 AM I just took a trip from Omaha, NE to Death Valley, CA. in my new 07 with about 1000 miles on it. I stayed on US highways an state roads for the entire trip (no interstate). I am retired so I am not in a hurry to go anyplace - that is, I drive 55-60 MPH. My av MPG for the trip was 23.8.
Now, when I fill my tank, I fill my tank until it will not hold any (I do mean any more - this give me a range of 500+ miles at 55-60 MPH.
Oil just hit $93/barrel - slow down and save gas and $$$!
Bill
FloridaHoward 01-28-2008, 04:55 PM I've only had my 2007 RT for less than a week. Traded in my 2006 Honda Civic HYBRID for it. So gas mileage to me is a non-issue. I LIKE THIS TRUCK>
UglyDuck 01-29-2008, 06:30 PM I can only get 323 until the light comes on - then I believe the book says there are 3 gallons remaining. Considering I'm usually about 25 miles from home this is important to know.
I average 15, 16, 17 - the lowest if I do errands, the 16-17 is if I am behaving and just mixing light city driving, mostly greens with freeway, and stop and go freeway on the way home.
THe 23 MPG is when I fill her up in Las Vegas and drive home, I'm always amazed at the difference. Lets say 16 MPG average versus 23 MPG cruising home, even with some traffic jams and they climb out of the valley....... I would be so happy if I got 23 MPG average, even the 18.5 when I first purchased would be great. MPG went to heck after first 2,000 oil change.
just filled up my '07 RTS with (now) 1800 miles on it - my first three tanks were all just over 18mpg. My driving is about 70% highway and 30% city. My top speed thus far is 84mph according to my Garmin, I didn't look at my average (probably around 25mph in N.CA traffic). Do you think 'cause its white it gets better gas mileage than other RL's?
And yes, we're loving the truck!:D
mbintx 02-15-2008, 02:32 PM I see my post is still going strong, so I thought I'd add my own update:
Total mileage is approx. 5,500. Best tank average is just over 15; most tanks average out to 14.5 mpg. Still haven't seen a tank over 16 mpg.
My driving averages out to 90 city/10 tollway. I think I'd need to see 100+ highway miles to get my average above 16...
Other than that minor gripe, the Ridge has been great!
Noved 02-15-2008, 11:38 PM I've had my RL RTS since 5/07 w/<20 miles on it...MPG ~15 - 16. @ ~5k, MPG about 16... Tripped 10K today and on last 2 tanks my MPG is up @17.5 to 18, w/ 18.5 being the highest I've gotten w/ my mixed driving of 75% stop & go. Can't wait for the 500+ one way road trip to check the MPG then.
I would love to get 22+ all the time in the city, but then I would I have to give up soooo MUCH and all the great points/functional use of the RL!
geotech 02-16-2008, 04:40 AM I've had my RL RTS since 5/07 w/<20 miles on it...MPG ~15 - 16. @ ~5k, MPG about 16... Early '07 build? Sounds like to me your over tightened valves from the factory are finally loosening up to within specifications!
MikeT 02-16-2008, 10:54 AM I guess I am lucky. Pure stop light level city driving, I get between 15 and 16 mpg. During the week I drive 110 miles per day. Of that 20 are city and the rest is rush hour highway traffic milage and I average 18 mpg on regular 7/11 unleaded gas. I get an average of 350 miles per tank with fillups averaging around 19 gallons per fill up.
I use the cruise control when traffic allows, A/C set to AUTO, and I run between 70 to 75 mph. I do try to avoid full throttle accelleration and I keep the shift points between 3000 and 3500 rpm.
I am now back to using my OEM air filter as my K&N drop in needs cleaning (After 30k miles) and I am too lazy to clean it :o
For the record, I was getting slightly better milage with the K&N. However, the difference is a wash for now (Pun intended  ).
VoicesInMyHead 02-17-2008, 05:11 PM Got fuel yesterday - 18.6 gallons. Went to reset my trip meter and noticed it was at 432 miles! Sweet!
I don't speed too much  and like to take off faster than the people next to me. I drive 50% highway / 50% stop & go
I never really pay too much attention to the MPG, as I like the truck, I want the truck, and no matter what it gets, I'm keeping the truck! :D
I am going to keep an eye on it though, and see if it gives me that kind of mileage on a regular basis cause these threads have got me wondering a bit...
waross 07-28-2009, 08:06 PM Did a family weekend trip ........300 miles away....I filled up before we left and filled up before coming home....with all the running around and tourist stuff I had 387 miles on one tank....WAHOO!!!
A66auto 07-28-2009, 11:04 PM I just hit 12k and I am averaging 17.5 to 18 mpg with a city commute. I hit 23 mpg on a long freeway trip 1 week ago.
AndrePS 07-29-2009, 07:19 AM I have a 07 RT. My avg. at the pump is 15mpg's. not good. I drive about 50/50 city/hwy and pretty easy on it for the most part. specially at the lights.
I have K&N cold air which I got right when i got my RL, so no i never checked stock MPG's. it passed SMOG.
my oil is fine. engine temp is normal (for those stating cold air intake got you high temps, and I live in the desert where its 105-115 for two months straight), tires are at 35PSI, not 32. I do run AC on high all the time right now. but 15mpg? I am jellous of the 18+club
I see all the post how random it is. Think Honda needs to get the best MPG RL's and worst mpgs RL's together and figure it out.
MikeT 08-04-2009, 11:34 PM I just hit 12k and I am averaging 17.5 to 18 mpg with a city commute. I hit 23 mpg on a long freeway trip 1 week ago.
Just got back from my Colorado vacation. Above 7000 foot elevation (Estes Park and RMNP), I was averaging 24mpg combined city and highway. Above 9000ft (Leadville, Independence Pass), I averaged over 25mpg combined. On the way back to Texas I averaged 23mpg at 75mph where permitted and 70mph in Texas. My 2006 RTL had about 500lbs of stuff scattered between the bed, trunk, and cab. We ran with the A/C on auto and with the cruise set.
Cajun Country Ridgeline 08-05-2009, 03:19 AM The Ridgeline does hate the city. Unless you get your speeds up to and over 45mph, it wont go into 5th gear. Because of traffic congestion, we drive around town doing between 25-42mph and the transmission stays between 3rd and 4th gear, thus we burn more gas.
Hwy speeds and stay below 2,000 rpm's and the milage will go as high as 23.5mpg. At least that is what I have been able to attain.
When I drive interstate at speeds at or slightly over 70mph, I make between 19.8 and 20.9mpg.
nurseman 08-05-2009, 08:25 PM I have yet to get near 14 MPG in the city. I am usually between 12 and 13 MPG. The stated 15 MPG is tested with a/c at 95 F but that is factored with non a/c driving. Cars are not tested with e10. So my guess is that since I am still under 2,000 miles, I have 100% a/c use in 100 degree heat, all short trips and I am forced to use e10, that this is why I am so low. My driving is not aggressive at all, I used to easily beat the MPG city rating on my past two Accords.
I see others on the site claiming up to 18 MPG city but I question if that is really city driving (or if they are doing the math correctly). I know it is not an issue with the RL since I can get 20-21 MPG easy on the highway. I hope to see some improvement when I get 5,000 and 10,000 on the truck.
zell_travis 08-25-2009, 12:16 PM I'll be honest, I don't think i have ever gotten less than 300 miles on a tank. Even with my lift and bigger tires. I drive like an old woman though so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.
gomeral 08-25-2009, 05:19 PM New (to me) '07 RTL, just did my first fill-up yesterday. (Well, first "full" fill-up - I got it with 1/3 tank.)
I have a 50mi commute, so since I'm not sure how much fuel is left when the light comes on, I filled up 5mi after the light came on. 335mi at 18.6mpg with ~70% hwy miles. Was hoping for better, but it's still better than it could be. I've been searching for threads with info on improving, but right now the best idea I can think of is to live at the top of a hill and coast everywhere, then get someone to tow me back up. :p

Enola59 08-25-2009, 05:28 PM I went on vacation earlier this month and it was a 400 mile trip one way. I filled up when I got there and only needed 19 gal. I averaged 22.1 for that one way trip. I was pleased getting 400 miles on a tank of fuel and having some to spare.
AtTheMurph 08-26-2009, 12:49 PM I've been getting an easy 400 miles per tank on the highway. Just drove from Milwaukee to Madison WI back to Milwaukee and down to just about Indianapolis on one tank. That's at close to 80mph with some AC (Wisc was unusually cool for our globally warmed planet )

hilarious..
I think AL Gore has finally stopped running his mouth, & that accounts for the cooler temps. :)
Cold.2 08-29-2009, 06:41 AM Squeezed in 24 gallons just to see what was up. up to 432 + miles and counting City/Highway combined. Low octane as well.
There are a lot of things to consider.
Here in Ct., we get a crappy blend at the pumps come September.
Deluxe Garbadge Gasoline.:(
Hesperus 08-29-2009, 07:46 AM Getting around 20-21 with mixed driving here in Boston area. With the fall Al Gore reformulation of gasoline, that will go down. Have to use a light foot to get it over 20 mpg's and keep it under 70 on the highway. Still, a lot better milegae than the 07 Tundra pig that I dumped to get this sweet ride. No complaints on mpg's.

Yeah...if we get much more of this global warming, we are all gonna freeze to death! Here in S. WI we had the coldest July since they have been keeping track and August wasn't exactly a treat either. Here we are, still in August, and it is supposed to get down to 40 degrees tonight! Global warming...my behind!!!
Back to the topic at hand...it took me a while for my RL to get into the 19-20 MPG range. Right now, with a little over 62K miles, I am averaging right around 20 MPG on my normal commute. I have gotten as good as 22 MPG and as little as 18. I normally get 20+ during the summer and 18-19 with that crappy winter crap/gas.
PHILLYRIDGE 09-14-2009, 02:03 PM Finally joined the 300+ club! Never thought it was gonna be possible with all the city driving that I do, but took a trip to central maryland this past weekend and put 375mi on one tank! That was with quite a bit of city driving once there too! I wanted to run her until she died just so I could see exactly how far I could get. But I was getting the "LOOK" the whole ride home until I finally gave in and stopped to fill up in Delaware!
Enola59 09-14-2009, 03:44 PM It's wild how the RL can do so well on long trips with fuel mileage and on the flip side around town so lousy. On a average trip to a destination 30+ miles at least one way highway driving I get around 19-20 mpg when combined with city driviing, but normal driving localy only 15.5-16.6. I got over 24 the other day on a 150 mile trip and went I came back finished off the tank around my home I ended up with 19 for the tank. Not too bad, but like I said it takes a descent trip for me to do that. Still a great truck with all that said. :)
PHILLYRIDGE 09-28-2009, 07:09 AM I guess the 300 miles on a tank wasn't such a big deal after all..... Took my Ridge out to Pittsburgh this past weekend to see the in laws and put 450 miles on one tank! It's nice to know it does so well on long trips.
cdepuydt 09-28-2009, 08:08 AM 300 miles on a tank should be pretty easy. I routinely drive mine over 400 miles before I fill up. I usually have about 2 gallons of gas left. I filled up yesterday with 409 on the trip odometer. Ended up getting 20.20 MPG.
Not sure why, but it seems like the last couple of years during Aug. and Sept., I get the best gas mileage. I normally get right around 20 MPG during my normal commute back and forth to work, but have gotten as high as 21+ MPG on my normal commute, which is hard to believe, since I usually get about 22 MPG on straight highway trips. Like I said, not sure why Aug. and Sept. are so good.
Getting into Oct., as far as mileage goes, I can only think one thing...ah sh!t...here comes that crappy winter gas. Expect a %10-%15 decrease in mileage....CRAP!
