I have a Yamaha Big Bear. Will it load and carry in the bed without damaging the tailgate? I noticed that the dual action tailgate only has one cable support and did not know if it could take the weight. Would laying plywood or something in the bed to spread the load help since the back tires will rest on the tailgate?

No problem sac, I haul my Honda Rancher all the time and the tailgate is not an issue. Just watch out for the rear window, very expensive to replace.
The tailgate is rated for 300 lbs. The bike will fit but you will notice a change in the handling of the truck as the load is high and way out over the rear axle. the pics show what I use to protect the rear window. Before I modified the Back Rack I just used the plank divider/stop block and it worked fine.

Wow HH4, looks like your a U-Boat commander with the snorkel in front and high exhaust in the rear.

More like a Frigate than a U-Boat as it tends to float as the water gets up over the seat. Maybe I could fab some ballast tanks to enable the dive feature. :)
