Recent photos of the front of my Ridgeline. I am very happy with how it has turned out.

I like your mods alot. Very clean and accentuates the RL OEM look

Can you provide details about hooking up the PIAAs; installing the fogs and the wiring and switch?

Check out this thread of my install.

I mounted the fog light switch to the black blank near the VSA and cruise control button. I used a Dremel to lightly make a hole big enough for the wire to go behind the black blank under the switch. You can not see it unless your head is down on the floor looking at the underside of th switch.

Thanks, I missed the original post. Any information on how you attached the lights to the RL?

I used the 3M type adhesive that came with the lights. They are attached to the steel bumper behind the plastic bumper cover. I have not had any adhesion problems.

adhesive tape?? No vibration problems, no sagging?

No problems at all. The lights I have are mounted to a bracket with a flat bottom. The steel part of the bumper under the plastic cover is also flat. There are two allen screws that attach the bracket to the light so I was able to properly aim the foglights since the steel bumper slopes slightly.

Remember how smoothly the Ridgeline rides............no vibrations.

Another member took off the front bumper/fascia and drilled holes into the bumper to mount the same lights with bolts and nuts. In an effort to reduce the amount of work, I decided to try the manufacturer supplied adhesive first. If it failed, or became loose, I would then bolt the lights on. I have had the lights installed for almost 1.5 years and no problems.

I didn't fear losing a light since the area behind where I mounted the fog lights is somewhat closed off. The light would have been trapped inside and would not be bouncing down the road.

Really like your mods. Very tasteful. In fact you have motovated me to paint my grill black now :D

One suggestion...... How about you put the silver front turn signal lights in. I think that would finish it off nicely.
Not trying to offend you just my 2 cents...

No offense taken. It probably would finish off the look, but that is not my style.

I really like the fact that the Ridgeline has amber turn signals in the front and the back for what I think is added safety. I wouldn't want to change that.

Besides, I am a Project Manager for Street and Highway Construction and the amber turn signals (as well as a strobe light on top) are more consistent with the color of flashing lights expected on a job site.

here is mine. You can see the reflection in the bulb of the orange side reflector:

I gotcha. That does look nice.

I assumed the bulbs would be "chrome". I see a lot of tuner vehicles running around with different colored turn signals, back up lights, etc. and thought that is what was suggested.

Where do you get the chrome turn signals?

Where do you get the chrome turn signals?I bought mine on eBay for ~$13 shipped. There are other sources of course.

Another lighting change you might consider is replacing the headlights with Silverstars or GE Nighthawks. They cast a white light compared to the OEM lights. You should be able to find these online for about $20.

I have the Silverstars in. I had them in my Accord that I had before the Ridgeline. I really like the white light they cast. The PIAA foglights I have actually have a whiter light to them which makes the Silverstars less impressive when viewed by others.

I just put an order in with a local "Tuner Shop" for some PIAA Fog/Driving lights and have scheduled an installation for next Saturday...I'll post up pics when I get the truck back.

BTW, I'd like to thank those of you who have posted up your chrome bumpers...thanks for making me feel I need another add-on. :D

Your fog lights look great. I have one question, how well do they work in fog?

I like the blackened grill did you do it yourself ? Spray paint it ? of did you have it done somewhere ?

It's an OEM Honda option. You can buy it from your dealer or thru H&A (a ROC sponsor). It's very easy to install. For my RTL, I removed the grill and painted the interior chrome bars black. You can see it in my signature below. I saved a few bucks and got the satisfaction of DIY.

NEVA's post showed a blacked out painted grill, was wondering what he used for paint as well and did he clear it so the paint doesn't chip? Thinking this could be done at home in the garage without even removing the grill from the truck...

I used paint designed for the engine (three coats), 200 grit sand paper and rubbing alcohol to prep the surface after sanding. I did remove the grill rather than mask it while on the RL.

It's been over one year and its looks like I painted it yesterday!

Wow engine high temp paint aha wouldn't ever of thunk it. Does the Honda emblem come off?

Yes. I believe there are a few screws in the back holding it on.

That's why I removed the grill rather than masked it. It's a much better painting process.

When you masked, the paint is more prone to peeling and cracking around the honda emblem.
