: Ridgeline Hat
How many people would be interested in a Ridgeline Hat as shown with "RidgelineOwnersClub.com" arched over the back adjustment opening. It would be about $16.95 with shipping included.
Soft, rich-feeling "polynosic" fabric. Unstructured, low profile crown

- Update, they are online now for $9.75

bongus 09-28-2007, 04:14 PM Looks great Trevor...any chance you can get different colors?
it would just be the one color.

zroger73 09-28-2007, 05:20 PM Beige embroidery on army green, maybe.
Black embroidery on beige, maybe.
Current color scheme - doesn't fit my wardrobe.:D
kwoodman 09-28-2007, 05:49 PM If you ship to Canada... I'll take 2. Seriously.

We'd be in for two!
Pizza Man 09-28-2007, 06:27 PM Is it a blue cap with darker blue lettering and silver mountains? I'm not sure my monitor is displaying it correctly.
07 RTX 09-28-2007, 06:47 PM I would be very interested.
Order 66 09-29-2007, 06:38 AM Which type of adjustment is in the back?
chisoxjim 09-29-2007, 06:43 AM Nope,
I wouldnt buy/wear one, I only wear White Sox hats.
moyockredrock 09-29-2007, 09:07 AM I might get one. What a about a Ridgeline patch?
I would get a few but would like another color choice not sure of the actual color displayed. Is it Blue like the Honda Ridgeline cap?
SpartanML 09-29-2007, 05:59 PM Whoops... voted for the wrong option... I will probably buy one.
Whoops X2!
Change my "definitely" to "doubt it"... sorry. :o
After my initial excitement seeing that it is a "low profile" cap (the kind I usually wear), I noticed that there were only 4 stitches on the bill.
In the past, I've found that the less stitching there... the more likely that the bill fabric will "ruffle". i.e. inexpensive white "painter's" caps.
What exactly is polynosic? Maybe it's a stiffer material that doesn't need the normal amount of support?
BTW... the cap looks grey/black on my monitor.

H&A,
I may be interested if this is a gray cap with the blue Ridgeline lettering (as shown in the photo). Can you please show the back of the cap? Is it one size fits all?

I voted probably, simply because I don't care for that color scheme. I'd prefer one all in black with white stitching.
For a good, fitted, hat like that I'd pay up to but no more then $21 for a fitted hat. For a hat universal like that, though, $17 is pretty reasonable.
Whoops X2!

"back adjustment opening" would suggest most. 7 1/4 without a tail...

too much... drop the price .02 for the time I've taken to explain why I want one/two now...
... you see... I just checked-out my "Farmer's Almanac G.S." blue denim brim that my son got me for my birthday two year's back... the bill's a little long, but I enjoy wearing it, and it's only got 3 stitches on it's bill.
But I haven't had to throw it in the washer yet, 'cause I take real good care of it (no wild beer parties... ;) ) so I don't have to subject it to such trauma.
Collectible or not... A ROC hat would be nice.
I'll take two.

I have a form I bought at a yard sale for $1 to wash hats in. I wash them, but let them AIR DRY!
I wear a hat periodically because of the winter sun here is intensely bright. But, I have to be careful and to remember to take it off before I go into work. Because I work for a bank we have a VERY strict rule about wearing hats. One day I went into work wearing my long black leather coat, my cowboy hat and with a full beard. :)
I like the design, but I'd prefer a more monochromatic look.

I've thrown mine in the dryer... none that I can wear currently, however.
I'm sure there's a quicker way to dry a hat... microwave innovator's listening? ;) ...
I put mine on some old McDonald's Halloween Happy Meal plastic containers that doubled as trick-or-treat "gifts" for my son around 15 yrs ago.
The low profile caps dry nice enough.
BTW, "Brawny The Keeed"...? Were ya "packin'" when you entered the bank?
I'm guessin' not... you made it out alive. ;) :D

I wasn't packing. Much. Remember the lobby scene from the first Matrix film? Well it was nothing like that. As soon as security saw me, I took off my hat and sunglasses. D'oh.
davedad 09-30-2007, 02:12 PM As a hat person, I would have to say I'll get one, It looks good the way it is.
Which type of adjustment is in the back?
metal buckle, any extra cloth strap tucks into the back of the hat.
Polynosic material is super soft high quality material. We've sold an S2000 hat in the same fabric with the same number of stitches for years now without any reports of any problems

Please keep us informed.

They should be available in 2-3 weeks.
thanks!

crimsonaudio 11-02-2007, 02:03 PM Are they big enough to fit ginormous heads?
How do I order one from Canada?
Are they big enough to fit ginormous heads?
It says 'one size fits most' on the label. It seems to be about the avarage size for adjustable hats, so if others fit then yes.
How do I order one from Canada?
Unfortunately, we aren't setup for that.
-Trevor
Can they be made available to Canadian members through the ROC merch link on this site? Or would a member set up with Pay Pal be interested in ordering and then reselling and shipping north of the border?

No problem! Happy to help a "neighbor" out! We ROC'ers have to take care of each other!;)
I'll get the hat, send it to you then let you know total for hat and shipping and then we can figure out payment arrangements.
PM me with your address, okay.
Got my order in!
Thanks, Trevor. :)

Trevor and I should look into that.
kwoodman 11-13-2007, 11:17 AM Trevor and I should look into that.
Give me a Canadian site and here's my order for 2 hats...
RTLSULLY 11-13-2007, 10:31 PM Has anyone looked at the shipping cost? $6.99 for ground shipping it sounds a bit much for a hat that sells for $9.75. I was going to buy one but lost interest. I would rather pay $15 to the club and $2 for shipping. $7 feels like a ripoff to me. Sully
Nice hat!
Got mine and now I know what 'polynosic' is! Real soft... unstructured... just what I wanted. :)
Funny how a new hat gets noticed... and now I'm sure there are at least three new 'guest lurkers' at the ROC. ;)
C'mon guys! You might as well join! Even if you don't have Ridgelines.............
... yet! :D
Thanks Trevor!

I'd be more apt to buy one with a $6.99 shipping.....Shipping to my zip code is $9.30.
A few months ago I placed an order with HandA. I ordered a new air filter, 6 oil filters and drain washers, glovebox organizer, and a couple other items... shipping was $12.
How can this hat be so expensive to ship??

We are selling the hat at our cost and the shipping is charged out at UPS's minimum of under a pound.
Unfortunately, UPS doesn't care what the hat costs, just how much it weighs, how big it is and where it is going. Even with it being light and small they still have minimums.
My original post on it had it at $16.95 with shipping included. I split it up so that if you order the hat with other items it doesn't add anything at all to the total shipping charge. Otherwise if you bought the hat and anything else you would be charged the $16.95 for the hat with shipping and then whatever shipping charge the other item had. This way it is just the $9.75 for the hat and the same shipping as if you hadn't added the hat to the cart with other items.
Some zip codes will be more than the 16.95 total but most should be close to that.

What is the zip code? My guess is that the $9.30 is the minimum charge from UPS due to location and the other order you placed was for just a couple pounds which generally only adds a $2-3 increase over their minumum. Its the initial charge for getting their truck to drive to your house on small shipments that stands out.

My zip code is 43021. Can I have it sent to another address? It appears that where my wife works 43081, or where her parents live 43229 would be the $6.99 shipping. I'm about 10 miles from either of those zips...I guess there is an upcharge to go the extra 10 miles.
I don't really understand why, FEDEX and UPS go by my house daily.
not a problem on the other address for shipping.
Thanks! It is hard to describe a fabric and 'polynosic' doesn't exactly sound like much, but it is a really nice material.
We'd been working on getting the hat out for quite some time. The logo was so similar to the ROC one that it didn't seem right to me just to use it without any acknowlegement to the club. With the minimums for getting them made up and the extra charges for all the stitching it made it a bit difficult to commit to but I'm real happy with the finished product.

jj's ridge 11-16-2007, 05:10 PM Got mine today, and also one for HH4 that I'll be sending to Canada for him.
Trevor,
That is a great hat! I am so glad I ordered it! Your description just didn't do it justice! I know you tried but..... Thank you!
If other ROC'ers were "thinking" about it and didn't get one yet, you better get one now because when you see them on someone at a meet somewhere you are going to be sorry you didn't get one;)
rasr866 11-18-2007, 11:14 AM Got mine the other day! Nice hat... Thanks Trevor!
How about shirts? Any chance you can make one with a different design than the one we bought through T Mac? Those are nice too but would like to have one with a different design.
thanks! No plans for a shirt as of now. They get a bit more complex with needing different sizes and the minimum order levels generally move them out of reach.
blackwater 11-26-2007, 03:42 PM Yeah, nice hat!
Raplon 11-27-2007, 07:53 PM Got mine today. Feel very satisfied.
davedad 11-28-2007, 04:28 PM someone just pounded on my front door, as I went to see who it is, I notice the UPS driver walking out of my yard, I look down and see a box, opened the box and low and behold I received my new Ridgeline hat. Very Nice and soft, I'm wearing it already. THANKS:)
just a heads up, we are down to 6 of the hats left.

CJames 04-08-2013, 12:40 PM If I could get it in Green to match my truck. Or tan to match nothing.
bluewater1 04-08-2013, 03:33 PM Bummer - I like caps and visors.
JamesLee 04-08-2013, 07:29 PM Going to get more??????????????????
unfortunately, they aren't available anymore.
FLA-Vyk 04-09-2013, 09:11 AM Sorry to hear this, mine are starting to wear out.
chrismarko 04-09-2013, 12:45 PM any way to contact the original vendor to have another run made? I am sure there is still interest for this product....I would be interested in one as well and if there are other colors possibly more
radtech91 04-09-2013, 02:27 PM Just go on eBay and search it. They have 4 different colors on there
I may be able to get some more but they wouldn't have the ridgelineownersclub.com across the back. Would that be a deal killer?

I might if the front looks more like the original. I don't care for the ones on ebay with the extra trim on the visor.

First time I've noticed this thread. Bummer. I like those colors too.
I went to the site and found nothing there. Then I went to the last page of the thread to find the last one was sold.
Yes, it must have the ROC on the back. ;)
Jorehall 04-10-2013, 05:28 AM Would buy a couple- prefer the logo on the back
chrismarko 04-10-2013, 05:31 AM Looks like the interest is there for more
oarnold 04-10-2013, 06:10 AM I've never seen this thread before. Bring the deal back and I'll order one or two.
CJames 04-11-2013, 08:32 PM How can we get them made again
kwajkat 04-27-2013, 12:47 PM I just picked a Ridgeline hat up off of ebay a couple of weeks ago and it is really nice. Just sayin......
