OK, here's our new Airstream Safari Sport 22'. Fully loaded just at 4000# and 400# on the ball, no WDH. Went to the Chiricahua mountains last weekend and she pulls like a dream. Hit the Santa Anna winds head on, gusting to 45mph up in Texas Canyon on I-10, absolutely no sway. Going we needed the AC on and got 14mph. Coming back it was cold and the wind was at our back, got slightly over 17mph.

Sweet! :D So, do you think you'll use it for next year's Sedona meet? How are the dogs liking it?

Wow! That is some phenomenal gas mileage guys. Cindy, Pam, Dan and I sure hope to be camping next to you both at the next Sedona meet & greets. Your new digs are simply gorgeous. Do you have any interior photo to share?

Brochure photos. Mileage surprised me too, about the same range as our old pop-up which was 1000# lighter. A/S claims 20% better mileage than same weight conventional TT. I used 89 octane and set the speed control at 64mph which our Ridge seemed to like.

We are pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of your new Airstream. I guess besides the fact that they are built to last for generations instead of a few seasons; they are a heck of a lot more aerodynamic than I had originally thought. It is truly a beautiful site being towed by your Ridge. We also tow with “Hi-Test” in the tank but our gas mileage is 11 to 13 at best. This is light years from our 1973 Winnebago powered by a 413 Chrysler / Dodge which got about 4 to 6 miles per gallon.
Happy daze camping guys and we hope to see you again soon.

not only are airsteams more aerodynamic on top, but they are also smooth underneath ;) which drastically reduces drag compared to typical travel trailers. (TTTs  )
