Vibration Noise - Radio Trim

Just noticed a new noise eminating from the dash trim surrounding the radio. Noise is apparent when truck in idle in gear. Noise can be defeated by pushing on right side of radio or the dash trim surrounding the radio. No noise when truck in neutral or park and idling. Annoying enough to make a dealer appointment and they will likely stuff some foam in there, but I am not going to take this dash apart myself.

You don't need to take the dash apart, just the dash cover. It's very simple.

1) Set the emergency brake.
2) Turn the ignition to position II.
3) Pull the shift lever all the way down to "1".
4) Drop the tilt wheel all the way down.
5) Look underneath the dash panel and find two small notches. Use a trim tool or a screwdriver (careful) and pry the dash cover away.
6) As you pull the dash cover away with your fingers, disconnect the wiring harness connectors to the dash controls.
7) Remove the dash cover.

Now try your rattle test again. I bet it's a wire hitting the inside of the dash.
