I was thinking of setting up a meet in the Catskills, but not overly familiar with the area and things to do/see/eat at.

You about saw all there is to see. The Catskill Game Farm closed a year and a half ago... There are a couple of decent places to eat, but they are too small to accommodate a meet and great.

Hunter is close to Catskill but not really.... Could do a winter meet and great and go to Hunter for some skiing....

Hudson is very close to Catskill and is well renowned for its Antique shops...

The Catskill area as a location would be close for those in Long Island, N. Jersey, the Albany area, VT, CT, and Mass.... Pizza Man, and yes Poughkeepsie (I didn’t forget about that White RL with the storm trooper sticker...)

Thank you for the mention Xman, but there won't be anymore traveling Meets for me until the Spring. Large family and the Holidays will be upon us before you know it. Too much shopping and Holiday prep.

That is why you must ask for gas gift cards for future events :) .... Large Italian family here also.... I just asked the wife how many batches of dinner rolls I have to make along with pies (both the pizza kind and apple and pumpkin) for Thanksgiving. Lots of prep for just a few hours of feasting…..

We have so much baking to do it's pathetic. I make a killer sweet bread and give most of it away for Christmas. Not to mention all the cookies and then the dinners on top of it all. I'm getting too old for this! :eek: :D
