I was looking thru the H&A website and found that there is an add on key fob for the Honda Fit. The fit uses the exact same key (I'm about 99% sure) as the Ridgeline. This would allow a person to use a key fob to operate the doors and use the valet key for the ignition which is still smaller and to me less awkward than the original key. 2 people could split the cost of one of these kits and get a premade no modification needed key fob for about $50 plus the cost to program it.

I wonder if someone from H&A or has access to the key part %#'s can verify if this will work.

I still like this. http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17794&page=17 . I just got mine and I have to get the dealer to cut it and program the immobilizer.

For all of you normal sized people yes this would be a benefit. My dainty wife has trouble with the RL key, but for me being in that one percent of the population enjoys having the oversized key-fog/key.

I agree with dgnizer, unless those images in Chri's post are flipkeys I really don't see the point to having to carry around not only a key but a remote as well. The flip key seems to offer the best option (for me anyway) and while it will occasionally try to "flip" while in my pocket it doesn't tear holes in my nice slacks like the regular Ridgeline gando-enormous key does when I bend over or crouch down. Other than the issue of poking holes in my slacks, I really don't see how the ridgeline truck key can be a bother even for the tinyest of people. I have one friend that she only stands about 4'7" tall and is quite dainty but she has no problem with the key, looking over the dashboard is another matter, but no problem with using the key. But to each his own, if this is what someone likes and wants, then more power to them to get it working with their truck, right.
But as the fellow above me said, if other dainty people have issues and can't wrap their hands around the oem ridgeline keys (just how small are these people?) then I suppose using the flip key would be out too since it's actually larger in some respects than the original ridgeline key (though it doesn't poke holes in my pants ;) ), so I guess this might be an option for those folks.

Hello,
Have you tried this Fit fob on a Ridge?
Does it support all the same functions--like rolling the windows down--as the Ridge fob?
Thanks,
Tom
