I had one of these when I lived in the northeast previously and made a repeat purchase now that I am back into snow country. The claim to fame is that it will remove (push or pull) snow off the vehicle without scratching the vehicles paint... it works well. I shudder when I see people pulling off many inches of snow with their shovels

Their S&H was $6.95 which is the same for purchasing two or one. I ordered on Monday night and got the box on Friday.... not bad (shipped from KS to CT)
X-Brawn 11-17-2007, 01:05 AM Wow... that might help with the frost we sometimes get here in Tucson. As for snow, well... we had it in January, for the first time in YEARS.
I've been using a similar product that I got at the local CVS a couple winters ago for $7.99.
It has an extendable handle that locks in any length, and has a brush and a scraper on one end.
I just "re-edged" the scraper yesterday with a file and some sandpaper because we had some "flurrie action" locally.
I like the SnoBrum in that the sides of the head look like (in the photo) they might be able to remove the buildup of snow in the mirror recesses better than the brush I have.
Is the foam stiff enough to clear the windshield of ice?
I can't picture the dimensions they describe... (6' x 17") ?
Specifications: 14"Wx25"x30"H?
And the SnoPro for around $9 more...
Specifications:
Head Dimensions 21" W x 17" D x 26" H
Handle & Head Dimensions 13" W x 5" D x 51" H ?
They seem HUGE!

They seem HUGE! :confused:No, it is not an ice scrapper, for that you would need a hard edge, this doesn't have that and won't scratch the paint.
Attached are photos of the SnoBrum. The red center is a hard plastic piece that the handle screws into.
I need to get a few of them its that time of year.
I just pulled my long snow brush /ice scraper out so I can put it back in the trunk of my car. I need to do the same for the Ridgeline I pull that stuff out of the car in the springtime.

X-Brawn,
Had to reply, was out in Tuscon(sadlbrooke development) over the millennium, woke up new years day to 5" of snow. Back in MA the same day 65 degrees. Snow was gone by noon however. I know Im off topic.
mmurphy50 11-17-2007, 08:08 PM This is the only snow removal tool i will use on any of my vehicles. I love the ease (push/pull) and it has never left a mark.
xridgelinex 11-18-2007, 09:17 AM I can attest to its usefulness. I used it throughout last year’s snow season. It does work really well.
As for using it to scrape the ice off, in most cases, all it takes is some deicer spray and it's the snowbrum is good to go.
I also made a mod inside the RL to protect the interior from the water build up. The Rubbermaid "media" bins that I have under my seat, one of them I cut a square out of it for the handle and have a towel at the bottom. See pic.... It's self explanatory..... When spring comes along, the broom part fits perfectly in the container, blocks up the cut part of the box and becomes used for various items again.
xridgelinex 11-18-2007, 09:21 AM Oh, I forgot, I made another mod and added a metal broom handle, because I was using it to shovel out the bed. I might switch back because of the tonneau, but I still have to test the other handle out.

The rubbermaid container to contain melt-off is a damn good idea.

Thank you... This is the time of year when you can score one for less money, as it tends to be a holiday item at Wal-Mart. I did purchase one at Lowes at the end of last years holiday season, and 3 fits nicely under the rear seat. One of them I have the hitch/ball, hitch ball wrench, tie down straps. The second one I keep glass cleaning supplies, along with bottled water. The last contains the winter supplies, snowbrum, deicer spray and ice scrapper.
I just went to that link to check out pricing, I was lucky and paid $8 at a flea market in Cape Cod. I should have bought them all, if I knew they would cost this much.
StoneRidge07 11-19-2007, 07:29 PM This is a pretty neat item, I will have to pick one of these up since it is hard to get that snow off of the roof. Thanks Keith.

damn...I wish I had some deicer this morning....
bliss53 02-07-2008, 09:24 AM I had a snow broom for years. I stored it in the garage and hung it from its handle. I think the water would accumulate on the handle and drip down into the foam end. It finally rotted away the wooden threaded socket in the foam. Time for a new one.
Do the new ones have a wood insert in the foam?
Do the new ones have a wood insert in the foam?I believe it is plastic into plastic, but would have to go outside to look at it.
It's all plastic now it looks like, no wood here.
I also just found out the guy that makes them is fairly local, never knew that til today - guess I can stop checking every wal-mart in my area for these things :D
