Navigation to TV HELP!.... please read

Ok i bought a PAC electronics navigation to tv converter... model number
VCI-X its supposed to be a universal unit and when i looked online they have instructions for the ridgeline installation... the problem is that when i took it to my local shop to get it installed they said it wouldn't work because they couldn't tap into the navi. wires cause they were "ribbon" wires... I called PAC and they said it would work?????

So if anyone, i mean ANYONE has any idea of how to make it work PLEASE let me know cause i spend almost $300 on this thing and i don't want it to go to waste... THANKS in advance...

I just looked up the model you specified. it says its a universal unit and "cutting and splicing" is required. There are units out there that have a pigtail connector that one end plugs into the back of the navigation unit and the other end connects to the video unit.

If you can't get that one working take it back. I have a brand new Soundgate VIDHOND2V4 for sale for $200.00. its still in the box unopened and unused. It does the same thing that the PAC unit does except this one has the proper interface cable to connect to the navigation unit under the drivers seat.

Thanks, i would like to buy your unit but i can't return mine since i bought online.... do you think there is anyway to make the one i have work? cause the shop said they couldn't tap into the nav. unit cuase since it slides out it has a ribbon wire instead of regular wires. any thoughts on that?
