Mr Bigs 11-21-2007, 01:28 PM The speakers under the seat are beautiful but I don't care for the dash kit . It looks like how I used to have to trim abs sheets back in the day for cars no kit was available for.
RTXGuy 11-21-2007, 02:13 PM I guess that will work too. How does everything sound?
franc944 11-21-2007, 02:36 PM That's gangasta!

Curious, how did you run the XM Antenna in the cab? Thanks
Hope your system meets your expectations.
S2000 11-21-2007, 03:43 PM Very Nice Job
SuperChris7 11-21-2007, 04:45 PM NICE! Did you build the boxes under the seat!
Order 66 11-24-2007, 06:08 AM Very nice looking.
You must like to chew gum.
What is the thing that looks like a can of tennis balls under the back seat?
mugen1 11-24-2007, 06:21 AM Looks like a 1.5 farad capacitor made by Power Acoustik.
BTW, nice job on the install, cboosh. One small suggestion. If you find the time, paint the face plate to match the rest of the interior. SEM has a wide variety of plastic paint products that will be perfect for the job.
Again, great job on the install.
moyockredrock 11-24-2007, 08:29 AM Heck yeah, thats whats up right there, I bet your system rocks.
wolfeRT 11-24-2007, 04:56 PM looks great, i would not have used a cap...waste of time.
But a good install. Enjoy!!!
cboosh 11-26-2007, 07:07 AM Thanks all...
SuperChris, Yeah I built the boxes myself...
bginvestor, The XM antenna cable runs down the rubber gasket around the windshield, down into the front fender, out into the front door opening, through the rubber wiring harness plug in the front door opening, to the inside of the cabin... to the tuner mounted under the front seat... I can post some pics if you want...
Mugen1, what is SEM, where can I find that paint? I was thinking of sanding + painting the head unit surround, but I don't know what paint to use.
WolfeRT, I'd never used a cap before, but my Silverado's headlights used to dim with hard bass notes with 2 12" MTX subs. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I'd try one... no dimming lights in the Ridge with this system CRANKED... so it's working out for me!
Now...
How does it sound?!?!
L O U D :D
The 4 subs can really overpower the systems sound, I'm using the low pass filter, and high pass filters built into the head unit, and with some tuning, it sounds awesome. I'm thinking about adding a separate amp to power the door speakers. (I guess I'm never really 'finished') Others I've spoken to with these speakers say that can really make a difference... but for now... This Ridge is ROCKIN'!!!

I know the "dark gray" color can be fairly easy to match with SEM, but has anybody figured out what SEM color works to match the "warm gray" plastic found in beige interiors?
htaddict 12-27-2007, 01:02 PM I just got back from the Auto Paint store.
The best SEM paint color match to the warm gray from the beige interior is the SEQUOIA. The actual paint sample has more of a brown tint than the jpg shows.
boobai 03-14-2008, 02:50 PM Nice install. Did those KS65's just drop in, or did you have to do some cutting and drilling? Never mind, saw someone else's post. Looks like they drop right in. Awesome.
