Wow, lots of new members! I've been absent for almost a year due to life and being at my camp where I use my laptop on a 56K dialup . So I'm playing catchup right now in a lot of things.
One of my fun things to do when I'm not driving Pandora my Ridge:rolleyes:
is photography. I took a lot of photos last year when the New England group met on Mt Washington using my D70 and upgraded to a D2x a bit later. So here are some photos.......
A mother hummingbird with her baby from this year.....

Thanks all, I used a Manfrotto Professional Tripod for the hummingbird shots using a Novoflex Ballhead and the camera has a Really Right Stuff L plate which mounts on the ballhead quick disconnect, the hawk shots were hand held but I used a Nikkor f/4 300 MM on both.

That was taken 3 or 4 days before we shut down for the winter....
This a week prior, as you can see he's in fine condition.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
My girls are still doing fine, but Shimmer is showing her age (almost 12). A couple of weeks ago, Harold took her pheasant hunting for probably the last time. She loved the hunting, but her recovery period was too harsh. Her back end is not stable enough and she fell getting out of the truck that night, hurting her rear leg. It took her a couple of days rest and some medication to get back to her regular level of spunk.
