Hey everyone. Just got some subs installed in my Ridge (in an awesome custom box I might add) as well as an ipod hookup. So I was wondering what kind of iPod docks do you all use. The ipod cord isn't that long so I will probably need something that connects to the dash. Any help?
Edit - should say mounts rather than cradles - just need something to hold my ipod

check out this websitehttp://www.proclipusa.com/vehiclemounts/vehiclemounts.aspx
I have found this mounting system very easy to use, there are 2 mounting options for the Ridgeline. I use the mount that goes right to the left of the head unit and I don't have to take my hands far from the steering wheel while driving.

Here is how I used my proclip. I attached the vehicle mount to the left of the radio. Then I installed an extender to mount my gps on top and ipod on the bottom.
I applied velcro to the extender and the ipod belt clip as well. Now I can easily attach my ipod with a clear view of the display.

Proclip. Been using it for over two years without any problems. I had it in my car before the Ridgeline. I just had to replace the car specific mounting clip.

I just installed my ProClip. Works like a charm. If I can do it, anyone can. Thanks for the tip.
As an alternate to the vent-clip design, which I have never liked, I'm using a PDA mount from Arkon that goes in an unused lighter socket (http://www.gpscheap.com/pc-1839-88-arkon-cm983-universal-non-powering-lighter-socket-pda-mount.aspx) and can be bent to pretty much any position you want:

This one is unpowered because I don't want or need that option, but they do have those as well. This thing works perfect for Ipods - dock connector is open on the bottom and the sides are gripped tight by the adjustable "arms." Can't ask for much more than that.

have my iPhone on a ProClip and love the convenience - very easy to install and rock solid once it's on the vehicle

does that mount charges the phone too? or it's just a mount?

Off topic, but... The more I see that woodgrain, the more I like it! I've always thought the RL's interior was a bit plain. I set the color scheme on the navi to brown so that it looks sorta like wood, but it needs something to jazz it up a bit without being excessive.

nope, it's just a mount; however, the bottom is open so it's easy to attach the charging/docking multi-connector for an iPod or iPhone
