Well I have no friends that really know how to help me. And I'm really too busy to go and wait for Honda to do a diagnostic test. I will go in soon, but the problem at hand is really weighing on me. I hope you guys can help me.

Well the problem is that I was driving and noticed that a triangle with an exclamation point and the VSA light has come on. I also realized that when I am driving the car stays on a straight line, but the steering wheel goes to a semi-turned position. Instead of the normal straight H centered on the wheel, the new "home" position is the wheel turned the left about 30 degrees. Also when I start the car the triangle with the ! in it and the VSA light are off, but when I start driving it will turn on after about a quarter of a mile. Any help?

The steering wheel being off center means you need to go and get an alignment done, preferably as soon as possible as your tires are probably wearing unevenly.

The ! indicator is meant to come on for a few seconds after starting the vehicle. It should only come on while driving if the vehicle has lost traction or when the VSA symbol is also illuminated.

The VSA lamp comes on for a few seconds during start up too. If it comes on at any other time there is a fault with the VSA system and you need to get the vehicle to the dealer.

The gauge display is explained in the owners manual.

Thanks! Well I realize this, and I did call the dealer. They told me to get a diagnostic test. I'm pretty busy and need to make space for an hour to kill in order for me to bring the car in. I was just hoping someone would tell me what may be wrong with the VSA. Is it covered by warranty, if not how much does it usually cost? That sort of thing...

The VSA should kick in only when the vehicle senses instability, i.e. on very slippery or uneven roads. If it's coming on driving straight down a clear, dry road, something is wrong, and you should take it to the dealer. Time is precious, but so is your truck.
