I need some help from all you folks who have installed a hitch on your RL's. I am in the process of buying the harness for my RL.

I have an '06 and I understand there is a different part number for the '06 wiring harness as opposed to the '07/'08 models.

I need help with a couple of things. First, doing a little digging, I found the part number for the '06 wiring harness is 08L91-SJC-100B and the part number for the harness for the 07/08 is 08l9A-SJC-102. Are these part numbers I found correct?

Second, I am looking at buying a new harness from a friend of a friend, but the guy told me the harness part number is 08L91-SJC-1M20-0200. That doesn't match either numbers I have for the wiring harness. Is this a valid part number? If it is....Will this work on my '06 RL?

I have done some digging on this site, but it seems like I am coming up with various part numbers for the wiring harness for my '06. Any help would be great appreciated.

Thanks,

CD

cdepuydt, if you go to the H&A website, they show only one wiring harness for all models but there are separate installation instructions for 2006 models. This is because there was no provision for the center reverse light pin on the 2006s until 8/24/06 production date. If you need to have the reverse light, there is a TSB available that details all of that. You can get that by PMing csimo as it is too large to post here.

Can anybody give me any information on part number 08L91-SJC-1M20-0200? Does this part number look familiar to anybody. I'm thinking the guy just didn't give me the right number for the harness he has. Thoughts anybody?

Thanks.

That is the style of numbering that would be taped to the harness itself rather than the box it comes in. Not sure if that is the exact number that would be on that harness but it isn't an actual 'Honda part number'. More of a manufacturing number used to identify components by the company that assembles them for Honda.

Thanks, H&A, that helps alot. I will just have to confirm with him that the part is actually "Honda" Part Number 08L91-SJC-100B, before I plop down my hard earned $$$. It would really tick me off if I bought the wrong thing.

Thanks and Merry Christmas! :D
