Okay, now let's talk about the upcoming college football season. I am a big FSU Seminole fan. Both my wife and I and alumni (we met there) and I did my first year of medical school there.

Our starting quaterback is out for the season with Lyme's disease but our younger guys seem pretty talented. I am hoping the team can go farther that in the previous 4 years and spank both the Hurricanes and the Gators.

Go Noles!! :D

Lyme disease? He was found nude and delirious on the streets of Trailerhasse. The Canes will give the Noles their annual beat down in game one.

"We are...going to lose to OSU"...A quote from a Penn St. fan the night before the OSU game. :D

Should be a good game - at night at PSU - should be electric.

For those of us fortunate not to be a PAC-10 fan, the upcoming season should be very exciting. ;) Every other conference seems to have 2-4 teams that could come out on top. In Big10 (11) country we've got 4 teams that could be playing in the Rose Bowl. That team-up-north, Iowa, Purdue (only due to their schedule) and, of course, OSU. PSU definately could beat anyone with their stout Defense - but can they put things together on O?

My dream season would have OSU play (and beat) USC in the Rose Bowl. That would be a cool thing, indeed.

I've been a fan on PSU for a while. I always root for them when they're not playing the Buckeyes. Have you heard much about what ol'Joe going to do after this season?

I like it!! Lot's of spirit in this thread.

And yes, the official explanation of Wyatt Sexton's break down in the middle of the street is neuropsychatric complications of Lyme's Disease. I have never heard of such symptoms with this disease, but then again I am an emergency physician and not a rheumatologist. :D

So much depends on avoiding injuries and getting one or two lucky breaks, but I like Ohio State's chances with their solid defense and Tedd Ginn on offense and special teams. He is truly special.

On the other hand, it is VERY difficult to go undefeated in the Big Ten and OSU has to play Texas in addition to their usual tough opponents, so it is always up for grabs.

Well, it's nice to see so many Big Ten (11) fans here. I guess we're on the cutting edge of football AND trucks. My only regret is that my new Ridgeline is red. I'll have to drive something else to Iowa City this fall.

Go Hawks! And thanks for the props tOSU fan. I think we're a tad overrated with all of the holes to fill on the D-line. On the other hand, we did it last year with ZERO running game due to injuries. So if we can muster something there, and we should, we're loaded now at running back, it could be an interesting year.

Go Big Ten!

GO BUCKS!!!

Tough to win out in the BIG TEN. Starting Quarterback rolled an ankle. Typical drama from OSU.

Here's a shout out for Notre Dame this year. Charlie Weis is set to return the boys to their former glory.

It's really lucky that the Fighting Zeros (Ohio) are not on the schedule this year!
