I've been looking around and searching and haven't seen discussion on this, sorry if Its' been discussed before and I missed it, I'm new.

I just bought an '06 RTL with an after-market (Hidden Hitch brand I think) receiver bar on it and a 4 pin wiring harness that appears to be wired to the brake lights. I was thinking about picking up the Honda OEM wiring harness and brake computer and installing it. Has anyone done this or see any problems with it? I was looking through the directions on H&A and was wondering if I would have problems mounting the plugs on my hitch.

Thanks.

If I were trying to do what you are trying to do, I would have a little "L" bracket welded to the hitch so that you attach whatever plugs you need to the hitch or I would consider attaching them directly to the rear bumper. The first suggestion to me is the better one. It shouldn't cost you more than $25 to have this work done by a competent shop. A mom & pop muffler shop might be the sort of place that I would ask to do this sort of welding.

Here's my experience. http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16910

I agree that bracket attached for the wires would be a plus.
