I love it. This is the engine the Ridge needs. If I could find a totalled 07 MDX I would buy the motor and drop it in the Ridge for 300 ponies.

Dawg Gone Luis!! That thing is suwheet! We’ve gotta mount some racks on the roof, load it up and go skiing soon! How in the heck do they get 300hp outa the extra 200cc ? Can she smoke your Ridgeline? Does the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive feel way better than the Ridge? Man! Those factory five spokes look PHAT too. Like I said, you guys know exactly what each other wanted for Christmas! See you guys soon………I want one now!!!!:D

This thing is pretty wicked. I actually went head to head with my sister-in-laws boyfriend's brand new Escalade 2008 with 400 horse and got him on every gear by at least a nose. It was on Xmas eve in Carson around 2 AM. Once I hit 90 I let off the gas and he kept going. I was impressed. He couldn't pass me. So much for his $75K cadillac. I saw him a week or so ago and he wants to run again since he claims he got a bad start at the light.
You can definitely feel the difference between the Ridge and this. I love the SHAWD indicator on the dash. It is so cool how it throws different amounts of power to each wheel. I have taken it on a turn at 50+ and depending on the turn, you can see it throwing more power to the the rear outside wheel.

And as for 53 extra horses from 200cc's, I would guess higher compression. Leave it to Acura. I can only run premium fuel. God I love this engine. I want to do a swap now. I imagine it would be plug and play into the Ridge.

I am looking at getting the 19" MDX accessory wheels for the Ridge in gunmetal.

This would look kick ass on the Ridge.

Nicole and I saw the new Tacoma V6 and Tundra V8 with the TRD belt driven superchargers in the pits displayed at last nights Supercross opener at the Big-A and they claim 300 and 400hp respectively. They sure looked like simple installs. If only they could have finish the development of the bolt on unit for the Ridge. The Caddy’s carrying a lot more poundage but does have a very smooth 400 ponies. How embarrassing for such an expensive pile, but then the “Sun could’ve been in his eyes” and stuff. Let’s hookup and throw some mud at each other soon!!! :p

From what I read from csimo here on the ROC, the VTM would not handle this level of power. The rumor is the '09 will have the 3.7 L but tuned way down for use with the VTM system. The SH-AWD has to be paried with all that extra power…

The Ridge with a detuned 3.7, why does that surprise me. What did you think of the 19" MDX rims on the RL?

Still looking for a pic, but deep down I hope no one has done this so I can be the first. haha.

Hello all, Just sharing pics of the newest addition to the family.

Check it out Ron!!!!!

Ron how is the interior size? I have read the outside specs and the MDX is a bit wider then the RL and a bit shorter... How about the interior room? Is there just as much room on the driver’s side in the MDX? I am afraid to go look at one and end up driving out without the RL… But I still have to ask…

Hi xridgelinex,

The new MDX belongs to lgmendez’s wife. He and I met here on the ROC and have become fast friends ever since. We also find time to ride dirt bikes together. I’m sure he’ll be back to answer your questions shortly.

I guess I paused when I read, check it out.......... Ron:o

Ron... On a side note.... How did the 3m adhesive promoter work out?

Ron... On a side note.... How did the 3m adhesive promoter work out?

Without any additional hardware, the 3M automotive adhesive and promoter combination had way to much lateral movement for my application so I will drill and tap either 6 separate 8-32 or 6-32 blind holes into the billet cover to mount the two hinges and the same into the aluminum plate that sits between the roof of the cubby and the bottom of the air-bag utilizing stainless button head allen nylok screws to attach the units.

Luis!! Let's talk mama into going skiing together!! :D

Addressing the interior room question, i would have to say that driver's side is more cramped than the Ridge. I feel like I have alot more room in the Ridge in all aspects. The MD feels like it wraps around you. The MD appears wider, but the center console feels wider in the MD.

As far as skiing, we're (including the Mrs's, are game)

Let me know.

Luis, that is very nice, Ridgegal (kelly) was looking into that, I hope, wishfull thinking the RL get SHAWD for its RTL model and a detuned 3.7L, that would be kewl. BTW...those wheels from MDX looks very nice and it will look great on an RL, how much a set cost for those bad boys.

I saw them on Ebay for $1320.00 a set with TPMS sensors and center caps. I am thinking another $200 or so per tire, takes me past $2K. I think it would look sickeningly nice. I am really contempating it.
