"H and A" Accessory questions

I would really like to add the Chromed Side Steps, Rear Splash Guards and a Roof Rack to my new 07 RTL. I have been seriously considering ordering the parts from our sponsor "H and A"; My questions are these:
1) Are "H and A" reliable, original Honda parts?
2) Is it better to order these parts from "H and A" and then take them to the local dealer for installation?
3) Are there any other money saving tips to buying these accessories and getting them installed?

By the way; I want Honda parts and me installing the parts on myself is out of the question.

Thanks Everyone.

1) Yes. Unless specifically noted, H&A sells Honda parts. (They do sell some aftermarket stuff, but they're up front with it.) In fact, H&A is a Honda dealership!

2) Some dealers will "honor" a H&A price, but after they factor in shipping it might be close to a wash. Where they make their bucks is installation anyway. Also taking parts bought elsewhere for installation may not endear you to the dealer & you will want to be on good terms with them for warranty work, etc.

3) I can understand that you might not want to tackle the steps or roof rack, but the splash guards are very very easy. Basically, you pop off a couple of little plastic lock gizmos & put in a couple of Phillips head screws. The parts are about $60, but I've seen them listed installed at $160. That's $100 for 15 minutes of work, so I figure dealerships make $400/hr installing splash guards.

I bought From H & A the following:

Rear Under-Seat Cargo Tray
Organizer
Side Steps - Black( was the big purchase)
Bed Cargo Net
Touch Up Paint
Bed Touch Up Paint
all on line with my first purchase. The more you buy at once will save freight charges because they can combine items to ship at the same time. I compared prices with my local dealer and I still saved money even adding freight charges. I also had my local garage install the side steps for $60.00. Honda dealership was more expensive also. If you can get your local Honda Dealership to match, go for it. My local dealer droped the price, but H&A still was a better deal even with freight charges added. I told them I could get it for a better price on line when speaking with them. It all about saving money to buy more stuff to add to the truck. Go to this site to price compare to the dealerships
http://estore.honda.com/ext_html/honda-ridgeline-accessories.htm
The site will show installation cost as well. Ask your dealer about that cost also when neg. prices.

I wish I would have ordered the Rear Splash Guards at the same time. I just ordered them 2 days ago. I would have saved freight, shipping with everything else I ordered. I still saved money ordering a single item from H&A. H&A must buy from Honda in Bulk, then have great prices to pass on to us. I guess the local dealerships don't want to buy in volume like H&A because they don't do internet sales like H&A?

I agree with you some things are too much to install yourself. I don't have the time or skill for some of the stuff, but I plan on doing the the Rear Splash Guards myself. They look easy. H&A has the instructions posted. I printed them and brought them to my local garage to see if they could do the install for the Side Steps. Good Luck

I just ordered several items from H&A for both my RL and my wife's Pilot. I got the rear mud flaps and an air filter for me and the cargo cover and an air filter for the wife. H&A was great....simple web site to use and delivery was spot on.
