ChrisM 01-13-2008, 09:06 AM Here is the one that I have. http://www.truckcustomizers.com/products/-BM-RM-IM/R4LRV4.1.html?vm=HO It was less than $75 delivered to my front door. It is super heavy duty and physically heavy enough not to blow out of the truck. It fits the bed perfectly. JCKridgeline 01-29-2008, 10:44 AM Is it a pain in the arse getting in the trunk with the bed mat in?? The trunk will not stay open by itself with the bedmat in place. Several members carry some sort of prop to hold the trunk open. It is a small fly in the ointment so to speak. It is a small fly in the ointment so to speak. Bedmats are worth it.:) Absolutely! 18" of 1" dowel or pvc works with the right ledge. LarryP 02-01-2008, 07:21 AM OK, with a bed mat in place, how hard is it to access the trunk? I am thinking of the carpet instead to get the ability to bend it when getting at the "junk in the trunk".....thoughts? gobo 02-01-2008, 07:31 AM I have the bed mat and it is no problem to fold the mat over to access the trunk. I usually fold the mat first to clear the cargo tie downs. Also I've lifted the lid and mat as one piece and then flip the mat back onto itself to take the weight off. Either way it's not an issue and I access the trunk regularly. Tcape 02-04-2008, 09:12 PM Just ordered the ProTecta bed mat from www.truckcustomizers.com Price was $73.98, and this included shipping. Given how easy it is for the Ridgeline bed to show the white scratches, I think this is a good investment. Will report back later on the fit and usefulness. Thanks very much to mazzuca66 for the info on the right mat to get.....and the right vendor to use. I've owned my Ridgeline (Formal Black '08 RTL) for only a week, and I've found this forum invaluable for info on the truck. THANKS for your help! Much appreciated! Good choice on your mat purchase. The ProTecta mat not only keeps yor bed from getting banged up, but it does a super job of keeping items from sliding around and banging up the sides of your bed. When you have time, formally introduce yourself to the ROC. :D Introduction Link (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26) FlaGuy509 02-05-2008, 06:19 AM I just went to http://www.truckcustomizers.com and ordered the Pro Tecta bed mat, I'd rather beat up a rubber mat than my truck bed and $74 seems to be a small price to pay. Tcape 02-08-2008, 11:08 AM Update on the ProTecta bed mat..... Got it yesterday and put it in my new Ridgeline. One problem....when I try to raise the trunk, the mat gets stuck on the two rear tie-downs. Not hard to get past them, but still a bother. Anyone found a way around this?? I hate to go cutting up my new mat! As anyone with a bed mat knows, the trunk won't stay up with the weight of the mat on it. Thanks to a hint from a forum member, I made a trunk lid prop out of a 30" piece of 3/4" PVC pipe. I painted it black, and put rubber crutch tips on each end. Works perfectly to hold up the trunk lid, and it stores easily (and out of the way) beside the spare tire. For anyone looking for a bed mat, I'd sure recommend Truck Customizers (www.truckcustomizers.com). Best price I found anywhere on the 'Net, and it's a very sturdy and well made mat. Tom Don't cut the mat. Just add this to the negative list as a minor annoyance. The benefits of the liner far outweigh the negatives. I will try to get a picture this weekend and post it for you I got mine last week it's the bomb FlaGuy509 02-10-2008, 06:27 AM I just went to http://www.truckcustomizers.com and ordered the Pro Tecta bed mat, I'd rather beat up a rubber mat than my truck bed and $74 seems to be a small price to pay. I ordered the truck mat on the 5th and it arrived at the house on the 8th, you can't do much better than that. I installed it yesterday and by just folding it over once I can access the trunk and the lid stays up no problem. Pug 02-10-2008, 08:15 AM A couple months after I got my RL, and using the resources here at the ROC, I decided on the Protecta (#6968) mat, as well. But the "heavy" shipping cost was a deal-breaker, as far as I was concerned. It might pay to look around at some "off-road" or specialty shops in your areas, for availability. Ridgelines are alot more common than they were when I got my mat nearly two years ago. I paid 63.60 out the door at a local Bigfoot On & Off Road Shop. They had to order it for me. It came in two days, rolled-up and shrink-wrapped. Great investment. Easily "flops-over" for access to the trunk, although it'd be nice to have a stronger lift mechanism that would make it unnecessary to do so. The mat has done it's job... it's' got some slight "gouges" from loading some sharp-edged flagstone that might've put a hurtin' on the bare composite of the bed. | |
