I'm looking to buy a boat and tow it with our RTL and just muddled through the volumes of tow hitch info here...oy vey :(

Anyway, I decided to go with the Honda hitch and harness for a couple reasons I won't go into now, but I found what I believe to be the best price for anyone interested. While reading all the posts looking for prices I remembered I used to shop from hondaautomotiveparts.com, which is Majestic Honda in Lincoln, RI, when I had a Del Sol VTEC. I am NOT associated with this company in any way, just passing along the facts.

BE CAREFUL WITH SHIPPING CHARGES......
I have been shopping a lot for this to
Got Harness on web for 135.00 with shipping..
Hitch most have oversize charge for hitch
I took the add I had for $244.00 to my local parts department
He said he could do 255.00 for it I took it
Again beware of shipping on this item.......

Others have had their hitch arrive bent from shipping. Beware.

Uh...nevermind. Thought it was too good to be true. Just got this email from them:

Thank you for the order. Unfortunately, the hitch is considered an oversized item. Therefore, an additional shipping of $47.68 is required for GROUND. Please let us know how you would like to continue with the order.

Sorry for the inconvenience this might've of caused you.

Oh well, Maybe I'll just take this invoice to my local Honda guy and see what he can do.

Ha! Just got off the phone with my local dealer to see how close they'd come to the price. Told them the whole thing, "...here's how much these guys are charging but I'd rather give you guys the business." Cha Right! They wanted just over $500 :eek: and I had to install it! Hmm...pass. I'll just stick with the 50 bucks extra shipping. :cool:

If you would go with a hidden hitch or other brand hitch and purchase the harness from H & A you could save some decent $$$$ Such a deal!!! :D
