I've noticed reading several threads that many of us have either owned or still own a Ford Ranger in the past. I personally owned two, a 1996 2wd 4cyl and a 1999 4wd 6cyl Long Bed over the years. Both good trucks with minimal maintenance issues. These trucks have been pretty solid over the years, with minimal refinements compared to the F-Series. Anyway, who has pics of their Rangers? Here's my 1999 Torreador Red:

Sorry, no pic to share...I did own a Ranger at one time, although I can't remember exactly what year it was...something around a '94. Anyway, point behind my no-picture-post is that I absolutely loved this no-frills, 4 cyclinder, 5 speed manual...I didn't even have a tape deck in it! It was an easy little truck to drive and was fun to boot. Life threw one of it's curves at me...the wife (at the time) had an old debt of hers surface and it was a case of sell the truck to pay the debt...
I do understand completely how you enjoyed your Ranger and share your enthusiasm for it.

Sorry no pics of my Ranger but I've had 3, a 94, 98 and a 2001 Stepside all with the 4.0L 207 HP six. I gave the 94 to my son when I got my 98 and he's still using it up in Asheville as his "dump" truck, it makes the weekend runs to the dump, Home Depot or any place else that might get his Element or his wife's CRV dirty. I bought the Ranger cause I liked the looks plus the 4.0L engine was just peppy enuff for me, I've had very problems with them and my biggest gripe has always been how much the Ford service departments suck. I still drive my 2001 while the wife enjoys her Ridge ... somehow that doesn't seem fair.:(

Here’s a few shots of my kid brother’s first (the white one) and his new Gun Metal Ranger. Me thinks “if he can’t break it, It’s one tough truck!!”

I am quite surprised that there aren't more pics...I had two and, come to think of it, can't find any pics of the first...My 1999 was a sharp truck though.

I did and a couple others. Had to take pic of a pic, back before the digi camera. "81"Ranger w/ 8' lift and 33's, "76" Chev Luv w/ 6"lift and 31's I converted all Jeep cj parts. And a Pacer on a "74" Blazer w/ 4" lift and 38's, frame shortened up. Those were my real 4X4 truckin days :D . Now its a Yamaha Rhino cause my RL dosent have the clearance  . Cheaper to drive and dont have to worry as much if I wreck something.

What Chassis was under the Pacer? Wayne and Garth would have liked it...

I don't have any pics of my Ranger. It was always in the shop and they didn't allow cameras in there.

Kind of sad to hear the Ranger will be going bye-bye next year, but it and the Colorado are in bad need of a redo to compete with Toyota and Nissan. I found it amusing years ago when looking at the Ranger and it's cousin the Mazda B-series, the Mazda actually was more comfortable than the Ranger.

I probably have one in a box somewhere of the one I put something like 117K on commuting 68 miles each way daily in lalaland (Westlake Village to Anaheim) - wasn't really a great truck except that I never had to do anything to it other than, brakes, tires, wipers, spark plugs and lubes - left it completely stock other than a vinyl tonneau cover and Mitsubishi car phone (one of the old 6W bag phones with an external antenna)
