We just got a new 08 Ridgeline. We currently have a Yakima rack with Q towers, clips and Copperhead mounts on our 1999 Odyssey. We would like to transfer the rack from the Odyssey to the Ridgeline. How easy/difficult would this be? Any info would be great! Thanks!

I ran the Yakima setup for 18 months or so. worked great as Yaks usually do. you don't realize how wide the ridge is until you put that long 58 inch bar on there. last summer I put some Yakima tracks on my truck. (yes I had to drill holes in it!!) I use my rack constantly, mostly for kayaks. the tracks look cleaner (at least on a black Ridge), and when i take the bars of off its just easier. you might want to look at the Thule bike bar, that's what I use to carry bikes in the bed. I have it across the back of the bed, it pops right off when not in use. easier than hoisting bikes all the way to the top. lastly, I put some electrical tape on the insides of the door frame to mark the spot for the Yak clips, made it even simpler to get it back on in the exact right spot. lastly, my bars would sing a bit, I had to use the Yakima fairing for the noise. let us all know what you decide.

If you don't have the factory rack on the Ridgeline the Yakima track system or Yakima Landing pads work great. You can also use your Q-towers with Q99 clips. The Q99 are the least expensive way to go. I always go to Rack N Road for my stuff, My tracks were done there. I even picked up some used bike racks.

I was so disappointed with the stock rack I took it off and sold it, got the Yak set up to replace it
