For starters, and E is much bigger than that toyo thing, and it came out after the E was on the market, so who's copying who...
Besides, it's a Honda....
Don't get us started, or we'll never leave :p
oh, and just ignore that twilight guy (if it really is a guy - hhmmmm, I wonder...), he's like the cousin that you have to be nice to, because his mom is married to your dad's half sister on her brother's side - and they only bring him because none of the sitters will put up with him, and you overheard grampa saying that he's not really all there, whatever that means....

Such hostility...you'd think this was a Hummers Owner's Club. I'm here to network with other Honda owners and try to caravan with my brethren to the national meet. There's nothing wrong with some off-topic banter...it isn't like we are telling you how to mod your Ridgelines. I can honestly say the visiting ROCers we have active on the EOC are welcome to be there and we appreciate their input.

Everyone is having fun here... we are looking forward to bringing both groups together. It's not EOC vs. ROC or ROC vs. EOC. This is a combined Honda event. My guess is that, after the meet, members from both clubs will have a new appreciation for the other vehicle and an even stronger appreciation for their own. We'll also drive away with a lot of new friends.
Let's have fun!

Fcz1.....my response was merely "off-topic banter" as well. I've been an avid, active ROC member for three years (as evident by my 2,100+ posts) who has hosted meetings and love Hondas. As a new member Fcz1, you make the assumption that I am hostile when you don't even know me.
I took the original post as 'tongue in cheek' and my response was intended as such with 'Invasion of the Element People' (similar to a horror flick title). Regrettably I cannot make the 1,824 mile trek to the national meet so the EOC's participation is not why I am skipping out. Otherwise I'd be part of the Honda crowd as well.
So, for those offended, or failed to see my response as an attempt to poke fun at the original post, my apologies. I wish all attendees a safe, fun time.

Well I must apologize to all my friends at the ROC.

After all I joined the same time as K757.

So all this is Keith's fault!!!:Dut-oh... I'm about to be drawn and quartered
for those not sure what that means....
Drawing and quartering is another punishment mentioned in kids' movies only because nobody realizes what's involved. The statutory punishment for treason in England from 1283 to 1867, D&Q was a multimedia form of execution. First the prisoner was drawn to the place of execution on a hurdle, a type of sledge. (Originally he was merely dragged behind a horse.) Then he was hanged. Cut down while still alive, he was disemboweled and his entrails burned before his eyes. (Some references, such as the Encyclopedia Britannica, say this step, and not dragging behind a horse, is what is meant by "drawn," but actual sentences of execution don't support this view.)
Finally the condemned was beheaded and his body cut into quarters, one arm or leg to a quarter. How exactly the quartering was to be accomplished was not always specified, but on at least some occasions horses were hitched to each of the victim's limbs and spurred in four directions. An assistant with a sword or cleaver was sometimes assigned to make a starter cut and ease the strain on the animals. The remains were often put on display as a warning to others.

Aha, that's where I got the idea originally. Don't think he was in Vegas, or at least I didn't see him or his Element there. But yes, I love it! I believe he used Herc-U-Liner on his because unlike the spray-ons, it can be touched up and recoated. I'll probably be doing that this spring :D
Chris aka Empire was not at the Las Vegas meet in 2007, he was in St Louis in 2006 so that is where some of the pics could be from.

I see with the combined meet up and comming I will need to train Raz on how to steal & fetch beers from the EOC'ers!!
If you would like you can carry these links over to the EOC....
I would be interested in doggy day care... noticed not much has been updated on that thread at EOC...
Still unsure if we are going to camp or hotel it....
It would have to be dog friendly!!
What are the pet owners of the EOC doing???

Instead of the Element owners "pestering" the Ridgeline owner's and visa versa, let's all get the CR-V owners! I bet they just crave all of the attention.

I don't need more HP or torque, I need more MPG!! The '08 has the worst MPG numbers than any of the 11 other Accords!!
I don't need more HP or torque, I need more MPG!! The '08 has the worst MPG numbers than any of the 11 other Accords!!:mad:well yeah! The EPA considers the Accord a full size car now. The current Civic is now much bigger than the Accords used to be. You can't have larger vehicles, larger engines, more hp and get better gas mileage. I think some high end physics play there. If you wanted mpg, you should have bought a Civic, which gets better mpg than a Honda Fit (you figure that one out)

If I remember correctly my best Acccord MPG was in the model years '94, '97.
'99. and '01. All were 5 speeds and 34/36 on the road was common.:)

We had an 88 LXi Accord coupe with a 5sp trans and mid 30's mpg were easy.
My wife's 07 Accord V6 can get 31mpg on long freeway trips with the cruse set @ 65mph

I think the Fit looses much of it's MPG do to aerodynamics
Twilightzero From EOC
02-29-2008, 04:38 PM
Actually the Fit is extremely aerodynamic. Doesn't have to be pointy and low, it's more about making the air flow smoothly around the car than it is having the best wind splitting design.

you can't go by the 'posted' MPG anymore - the gov't mandated that all manufactures change the way they report MPG, so it's all standardized now...
I don't know how it changed, but all the figures I've seen are lower for all of last years models....
