Where is everyone mounting their electronic brake controller?

Mounted mine in front of my right knee...this way, I can reach it to manually active the trailer brakes if needed. I actually attached it to the lower dash panel. Good luck!

I did mine on the left side, also on the lower dash panel.

I didn't want mine being hit by my knees getting in our out. Since I only mount it when I hook up the trailer, I mounted it to the windshield with suction cups. This only works with the multi-directional brake controllers, but I have found it does an excellent job in this location and is out of the way.

Great Idea on the Velcro! I am installing my Tekonsha this weekend and did not want to drill into my new RTL. Time to purchase some velcro.
Have you had any problems with the controller moving around too much?

Be sure you get heavy duty velcro. The regular stuff wouldn't hold. I didn't know there was a difference but turns out there is.
I only mount mine when I'm towing but I haven't had any problems.
Good luck.

I velcro'd mine on the lower right panel. I got the heavy duty velcro from Home Depot and seems to hold the controller just fine.

This thread is useless without pictures...
This is something I'm hoping to tackle this summer, but I suppose I have to mount a hitch, first... :D

right there! close enough to reach when needed out of the way when not and I will reroute the wires to come up through the center console pocket soon.

Hi Scott, Originally, we had our Prodigy mounted on the left hand side of the steering column until I got tired of bashing my knee getting in n out. I’ve since moved it to the right side……much better w/ no knee damage!

I tried the Velcro in front of my right knee and it has already fallen. I did prep the site with alcohol. Any ideas? It’s not even really hot out yet. I may resort to nuts and bolts.

did you remove the panel or just drills straight into it?

I removed the lower panel to first check for drill clearance but found it to be unobstructed. I remounted the panel, transfered the two hole locations and drilled clearance diameters for stainless 10-32 machine screws with "nylok nuts"
I rather it be very secure than accidentally fall down between the brake pedal and the floor if ya get my meaning.
