The Honda Element is getting a makeover.
In Japan it is called the Honda Crossroad.
Seating for 7. Fold-down seats.
Better styling.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, seems to be a little down on HP for a 7 seater. Not sure the market would support the Crossroad with the current engine package!!

This one is in Japan. North Americans are larger... the motor will be too.

I drove an Element for 5 years and am a huge fan, honestly I don't care too much for this crossover, the styling strikes me as ubiquitous and does not carry the personality of the Element at all.

This rumor has been out there for quite a while. I don't see any proof of it yet.

ubiquitous

For those ROCers, like me, that did not understand "ubiquitous". Here is what Webster says; ubiquitous

Pronunciation: \yü-ˈbi-kwə-təs\
Function: adjective
Date: 1830
: existing or being everywhere at the same time : constantly encountered : widespread <a ubiquitous fashion>
— ubiq·ui·tous·ly adverb
— ubiq·ui·tous·ness noun

Interesting. Is this Honda's little way of saying "sayanara" to the Element?

I owned an Element before moving up to the Ridgeline. Generally, it was a mix of some really good ideas and some really bad ones.

By comparison, my Ridgeline has by far more good ideas that really work for me, all the time.

Pretty interesting, but over here there are a lot of SUV choices in the Honda fleet. There is the Element, CR-V, and Pilot. I don't know if they'd replace the Element here with the Crossroad as it seems generic by SUV standards.

As for the off-road test, again, the poor vehicle has crappy ground clearance (for off-road) and what they drove it through was no test. If they plan on having a Crossroad vehicle over here to "replace" the Element they need to give it more personality.

To add to my previous post, Honda has even stated publicly that they won't export the Crossroad. The reason for the buzz and rumors is simply that the redesign for the new Element was delayed. And since there is literally NOTHING out there about the new Element, everyone's jumping to conclusions.

I agree 100%.

How much larger?... I doubt they will make another vehicle that will be the size of the crv or the pilot....
