I need some last minute pointers! Never have towed with the Ridge. Have towed stuff before but it has been several years. So consider me to be new to this!

Trailer weighs 3500lbs dry. I am estimating 4000lbs fully loaded. Tongue weight is approx - 200lbs (dry). Trailer length -21'

I installed a Prodigy Brake Controller today.

Any advice or watchouts??

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Fallow the Prodigy set-up procedure when you hook up the trailer each time and you should have no problems with getting the brakes on the trailer to work in sync. with the RL. What are you using foe towing mirrors? Good Luck

You will be fine just remember to keep your added load weight in the middle over the axles if possible, I love hauling with my Ridgeline very nice smooth ride. The only problem this year was my trailer tires were so cold they flat spotted from sitting so long, but after about a hour of road time they came out of it. Listen to Mtnman though you will want mirror extensions for sure. Have fun :)

Wow! Let me know how the truck does with the 183. We just ordered the 233. Ours should be here 4/1. Even the max listed for the 233 is under the 5,000 mark. We know we can probably never tow with water or stuff in tanks. Are you getting the WD hitch or the anti-sway bars? Or dealer said that we shouldn’t need them.:D

Vail.... Love the ROO 233 and almost bought that model instead. Just opted for the 183 to be a little lighter since I have not pulled a trailer like that before. The 233 is an awesome floor plan!!

My dealer said I should get a Equalizer/Sway Bar if nothing else for the sway protection. Found it at WWW.rvwholesalers.com for much less than everyone else if you elect to get it. Also, they had a great deal on the Prodigy Brake Controller.

I will be sure to let you know how the Ridge pulls my Roo.

I absolutely love this truck so far!!
